Because we still have lots of room in the binder and we still haven’t received some of the materials we ordered for embellishing and protecting the pages in it, we are extending the deadline until midnight (EST), January 6, 2014.

If you haven’t already mailed your page to us physically, please send it to us via e-mail, to ensure that it gets to us on time.  Please do not send your page to us physically unless it is already on the way.

Please e-mail your page to letitrain@cloudusa.org.  All pages received either physically or via e-mail will be printed on photo quality paper in full color and added to the binder.

We would like the binder to be filled with love, so Clouds, PLEASE e-mail us your page today.  All Clouds are invited to participate in this event.  This project is open to any Rain fan, anywhere. If you love Rain, you’re in.  🙂

Thank you,
Terri :-}

Hello, Lovely Clouds.

In celebration of the Christmas holiday, the New Year, and Rain’s comeback in January 2014, we are delighted to announce Cloud USA‘s 2013 Holiday Memories for Rain Scrapbook Project!

Last year, we sent Rain a gift box (and two years before that), but this year, with his comeback in South Korea and his filming of The Prince in the U.S.A., he’s extremely busy traveling from one country to another.  So, we think a scrapbook that he might be able to enjoy during moments of down time (wherever he might be) would be best.  A holiday book would also serve as a nice companion to Cloud USA’s From Our Hearts to Yours Birthday Scrapbook which we sent to him in 2011.

If you would like to send Ji-Hoon a holiday greeting via this project, then please follow the guidelines below.

PLEASE READ this ENTIRE guidelines post very CAREFULLY to ensure you are following all of the rules!

Eligibility:

This project is open to any Rain fan, anywhere. If you love Rain, you’re in.  🙂

What to send:

• ONE 8-1/2 x 11 inch scrapbook page  of your own making on regular paper, card stock, vellum, patterned paper, transparencies, etc. No poster board, as it’s too heavy. No newspaper or other such papers where the ink may naturally run or smear.

hanukkah 02

• Whatever you’d like to paste onto your page—go for it! Holiday cards (includes Christmas, Kwanzaa, Yuletide, Hanukkah, Boxing Day, the lunar and solar New Year, etc.), pictures, postcards, letters, poems, stickers, stamps—all types of scrapbooking embellishments.  Show Ji-Hoon your decorative spirit in wishing him Happy Holidays. If you’re an artist, you can draw something. If you’re a writer, you can write something. If you’re a photographer, you can shoot something. If you’re a quilter, you can quilt something (like your favorite square). Get the drift?

• There is no color scheme. Please use whatever colors you prefer. (FYI: Although JiHoon seems to really like blacks, silvers, and reds, The Cloud‘s official color is silver, and Cloud USA‘s official color is the hue of a silver lining, there’s nothing wrong with us sending him a rainbow.)

• Be cute. Be creative. Be clean. (Even if it kills you. Ha ha.) If you’ve never scrapbooked before, don’t worry. Your page can be anything from very simple to highly embellished. It doesn’t have to be perfect or look a certain way. It just has to be YOU. That is what he will appreciate the most.

ChristmasTree

• Please leave a 1/2-inch margin all around the edges of your page.

•Please DO NOT PUNCH HOLES in your page.

• Put either your name or your username somewhere on your page, AND please include a separate note for us with your name and username and location in the world, for our records.  (We will be making a list and adding the list to the book as well, so it is important that you send us your details separately when you send your page.)

• Please make sure that you protect your page well when when you ship it to us. We would hate to see your hard work damaged in transit!

NOTE: Anyone who wishes to simply submit a regular holiday card by mail may do so. We will place these cards on additional pages in the scrapbook.   (Again, please don’t forget to include a separate note for us with your name and username and location, for our records.)

Please DO NOT use:

• unusually bulky or messy items
• materials that cannot be securely pasted or glued down
• perishable foodstuffs (NO candy, chocolate, cookies, etc.)
• fragile items

DEADLINE:  FRIDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2013.

Please follow the guidelines listed above carefully and then send your scrapbook page to:

Cloud USA
2013 Holiday Memories for Rain Scrapbook Project
3961 Floyd Road
Suite 300130
Austell, Georgia 30106

Please send your scrapbook page as early as you can to allow us adequate time to organize all of the pages and then ship the book to Rain (wherever he may be). Any pages received after the deadline will NOT be included and the sender will be contacted to coordinate return shipping (just in case you wish to send it to him yourself).

The book will be mailed after the deadline and as soon as we can get the book organized.  We will let you all know when it has been shipped.

We will compile all of the pages received and put them in an order that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye presentation-wise.  We will also include a page in the book with all of the contributors’ names and locations.  Below, please enjoy your first glimpse of the holiday binder that we’ve ordered specifically for this project.

We hope many of you will join us in wishing Rain Happy Holidays, and Happy Holidays to you all!

    • Mari,

No worries. The deadline is tomorrow, but Stephe and I are both still on holiday. So, it will be a few days before we will be able to get everything together to send out. We will try to wait on as many pages as we can, because we’d like to have a fuller book.

  5. Liz, your holiday page arrived today. Nice job, dear! I really like it. It’s perfect for Rain’s scrapbook.

You’re the first to get your page in, so we’re going to send you something out of our 2013 ZEPP goods stash as a reward, around the New Year.^^

Thanks for participating! (and for the little bit extra!)

  7. I forgot to ask – can we put our name on the back of the sheet? Or does it need to be on the front?
    Thanks,

    • Liz,

Your page is going to be placed in a document protector in the binder, but I would decorate just one side, because I think we are going to try to fit two pages in each document protector to save space. See there? I’m being optimistic that we will receive lots and lots of pages…

So, I think just on the front, Liz.

  8. Well, yay! I got the binder today and it’s really cute and looks just like the image above, except it’s…um…real. LOL.

Ya’ll please join us in filling it up, would ya? I’d really hate for Rain to get an almost empty binder with four pages in it, wouldn’t you?
