[Update #2][ETA 2nd poster][Word on the Street] Is Rain headed for Sonic Shanghai?

[*Edited to Add #2: For all intents and purposes, everybody, it looks like the poster with Rain on it may be an older one, and the CORRECT poster NOT have him on it. That’s the talk we’re hearing, anyway, and seeing as he’s NOT on Sonic Shanghai’s FB page or in their videos right now, that’s the way we’re leaning… When you have two very professional-looking posters with 2013 on them, you ask questions. ^@@^]

Oh, who the heck knows?  All we know is Stephe found this on a blog in Japan.  Is it true or not?  Your guess is as good as ours, so don’t bother asking us about it right now.  Maybe another video will pop up between now and the 17th to let us know whether it is true or not.

Sigh.  Rainy and Cube, I just wish one of you would get with it.  I mean really.  Why do we have to search all over the place for official news about Rain?  Why can’t you just make our lives easier and send us press releases and stuff like every other entertainer who isn’t even related to Rain already does?  LOL.

Even a little “official” news up on Rain’s “official” website now and again would be a major improvement. Sigh again.

*Edited to Add: A second Sonic Shanghai poster. One has Rain on it… and one does not. Should we flip a coin? Maybe not. Sonic Bang jumped the gun a little bit, so…

In any case, if he’s going to be there, we fully support him on that. If he’s not and the other poster was misinformation, we’ll support him on that too because HE knows what is best for him during this trying time.

  1. This is what has me a little peeved. On Cube’s own fb page they have Nothing! About Rain! Not even a picture! Not to mention sonic. Aren’t they suppose to be representing him now? Hell do ya damn job! Get his brand out there!
And I agree with both Terri and BiA.

As you can see I am just a tad bit irritated.

  2. Gotta agree with Terri here. Rain has long since established himself at world star/mega star (as we call it in the U.S.) status, so I don’t understand why his reps end up falling behind on keeping up with that type of momentum. The infrastructure of his celebrity empire needs to be able to keep up with the pace of his particular status. You all have “courted” the world’s attention and now you’ve got it. So now you’ve got to learn what to do with it and how to keep it.

    • Yes, this has been a problem for a long, long time. Long before Cloud USA even existed. Then again, I don’t think that Rain’s camp really gets how big this problem could be for them the more attention Rain gets.

I mean, here we are drumming up business for him (on our dime, mind you) and yet we have to wait sometimes forever for “official” word on anything. And Cloud USA hates to post iffy information for two reasons. 1) It annoys and turns off fans and 2) it creates more work for us, which we CERTAINLY don’t need. Sheesh.

      Annoying as hell.

      • Agreed. I don’t think they truly get it yet, even though they have made some much appreciated changes to help with language barriers and so forth they still have not addressed what he really needs as an entertainer.

This is the part that’s about business and not about how many times you can get people to tell him how beautiful he is (and he is beautiful…SMILES). (1) Example: I’m in the U.S. and I want to purchase my idol’s music and dramas through an English speaking entity (they should have that set that up in some way). I don’t want part English, part Korean and then have to figure out the price too. Nope…won’t work. He has (I feel) a large enough English speaking fan base now to warrant it. Also, if he’s able to truly transition over to Western markets in earnest he will already have an established mechanism in place that can be readily utilized by English speaking fans. Since he can’t cater to all languages he needs to pick the most utilized languages among his fan base and possibly provide the same type of services to those top 4 markets, as well. (2) The minute he solidifies plans for Any performance or appearance then it should be placed on his official web site immediately. They should (IMHO) have someone on staff whose sole job is to update and maintain his official web site. Someone from each of his respective entertainment reps’ offices should be charged with making sure They in turn have a staffer who will properly inform the official web master of any and all changes to his performance schedule(s) in a split second if need be, so that info can be posted post haste and also in the languages of the markets he will be catering to.

The bottom line is if you know enough about the Western market specifically and the people its comprised of, then you know some of us Live for INSTANT gratification and information at our fingertips. Nothing turns an impatient Westerner off more like information that lags behind. We should be able to get info about Honey Love almost instantaneously from his official site at any time and in the languages it caters too, but this is not the case. I’m not trying to be hard core….I’m crazy about “snookums” but I want his empire and everything associated with it to run on par with the caliber of entertainer that I Know HE is and deserves.

  4. He is definitely on the Sonic Bang 16 act line up. Go Ji Hoon sshi! Don’t walk Jump! I thought he might need a few, but not our world Star. The stage is calling.

  5. Make good sense, Suhe, for Rain to get back into doing what he loves so much after revitalizing himself. Thanks and appreciation to you.

    • Thank you for the information, suhe.^^

The confusing thing is that both posters have 2013 on them, and that everyone uses Rain’s Back To the Basic picture no matter what the year, it seems. Will check it out — thanks!

    • Suhe,

Thank you for the information. We will keep an eye out. It does make sense to me, though, that if Rain was doing one Sonic show, that he would do others.
