OMG!!!! Heirs’ episode 16 was so touching!! I’m dying here!! Lee Min Ho killed me, his acting was AWESOME!! He made me cry! Aghhh now I have to wait so long!!

Kim Tan wanted to do things proper and above board, but unfortunately he and his brother are pawns in their father’s ruthless business practices. I felt so hurt for him when he realized he had been played by his father and Eun Chang was gone. I think Big brother betrayed his trust and told Daddy about him hiding Eun Chang so he wouldn’t be voted out as CEO. Also, Big brother wouldn’t want Tan being happy with Eun Chang when he himself couldn’t be with the woman he loved. The biggest difference between Won and Tan is that Tan is willing to do/sacrifice everything even the company for the girl he loves and doesn’t care who knows it. Won obviously gave up everything even the girl he loved to gain Daddy’s favor and the company.

I must say this drama has gotten much better. The acting is great and the angst between the brothers is intriguing. Let’s just hope that the writers utilize that to its fullest.
I still think there is something about Won that we don’t know. Every now and then he will look at his brother with a look that tells me he doesn’t hate him at all and like he is hiding something or preventing himself from feeling for Tan. As a writer, it just feels like foreshadowing to me.
Or maybe it’s just that Daddy Gumiho is just that good of an actor. LOL. Good grief. I’m still calling Jin Hyuk Daddy Gumiho. I’m sure he would simply LOVE to hear that.
Anyway, this drama has turned out to be much more entertaining than I thought it was going to be.

To tell the truth, I knew this drama was going to get better because knowing Lee Min Ho, he chooses well his characters, he likes to develop them slowly, brew them like a good beer. Also, Park Shin Hye is a great actress with lots of experience so I knew that eventually they were going to have good chemistry. The cast is doing great too, I’m loving all these secondary characters! The story worried me at the beginning but now I think the director is going into the right direction. Let’s hope he doesn’t mess up the ending! 😀

Yes this drama has really improved, it took forever to get there though. I agree Park Shin Hye is very good. I can’t wait to see the upcoming showdowns. They are going to be good. *SMILES*

Well, now both Kim Tan and Eun Sung have gone completely public with their secrets. I didn’t expect it, but I’m so glad they did. Now, let’s see whatcha got Rachel. *SMILES* This is was the best episode so far.

That scene was super cool! Eung San was holding herself in because she wanted to graduate from that schooI but the moment Rachel mentioned her mama she snapped! Lol!! Heirs is getting very interesting! ^.^

Hey Terri,
I know you and I both wondered when Lee Min Ho would stop playing high school students, since he’s beginning to look older. Well, check out his interview (posted this past October) where he addresses just that very thing. It’s a pretty in-depth interview. He talks about his acting choices, etc. The most interesting interview I think I’ve read of his in quite a while. I think you will find it interesting too.

Yeah, I had to laugh when I read that. He holds no illusions about his talents or lack thereof. His singing is strictly for his fan meets. Something special for his fans Minoz. He’s a laid back cutie….love him (second to Honey Love of course).

I had a feeling Kim Tan would get fed up. I’m glad the secret is out, although I know he will catch holy hell when he goes back to school. I knew Daddy was hard core but he’s ice cold, keeping the older brother from his true love. I still hate those long @ss staring at each other scenes, but this was the best episode so far. Poor Tan had to go see Eun Chang after his dramatic confession. He needed some comfort from his boo. *SMILES*

Awww the end of episode 12 was heartbreaking! Poor Kim Tan!! I ‘m glad he let the secret out! After 18 years of lies, being with two moms and pretending that everything was fine and being ashame of being the son that shouldn’t exist it was time to break the illusion and let go. It’s going to be hell for him if Rachel talks and I don’t think she or her mom is going to spill the beans! After all, Kim Tan’s father is not someone you mess with, he’s ruthless and he can destroy them in a heartbeat! Next episode is going to be very interesting! 🙂

Oh Mari!!! I’m glad you responded, I’ve been dying to talk about it.
I’m SO glad Kim Tan let it out too! Although it’s going to be hell for him when he gets back to school. I don’t think Rachel’s mom will say anything, but Rachel (I think) will say something because (1) she’s an immature, jealous teen. Even though she doesn’t really want Kim Tan, she will still hate losing out to the maid’s daughter. She won’t be able to help herself. I’m glad Kim Tan went to Eun Chang. She still may not welcome him with open arms (at least in public) but I do think they will definitely begin to lean on each other more. They already like each other. Love will be the next step for them.
However, I get the feeling Tan’s old man is not done yet. He will try to force Tan to tow the line, the question is how now that the secret is out.

* SPOILER ALERT *
You know, I wonder just how many times will Cha Eun Sung let Rachel hit her before she retaliates. I’m sitting and watching and I’m like “girl, will you knock her out….please.” I’m not a fighter, but Rachel would have hit her back, especially when she pulled her hair. So frustrating. Also, Choi Young Do is really the jerk you want to hate, but when you see how he is abused at his father’s hand then you want to feel sorry for him. I also think that with Kim Tan being pushed further and further into an emotional and social corner by the circumstances surrounding his family, he may just give it all up to be with Cha Eun Sung. He’s not quite at that point yet but you never know. I also wonder if his older brother will ever come around.
I think Eun Sung’s mother and Tan’s mother will ultimately become friends, because she sees through the “act” Tan’s mother puts on. She would tell her off lots of times if she wasn’t mute. Speaking of which, they label her deaf and she uses sign language, but whenever Tan’s mother says “did you hear that?” she nods yes. Also, she hears the daughter quite well on the cell phone, she just can’t respond. However, when she uses sign language it gives the perception that she’s deaf, but really she’s not. That confuses me. Anyway, I agree with others on FB it’s hard to watch a drama that is currently running because you have to wait each week for new episodes. *SMILES*
Oh…I almost forgot, now Lee Bo Na’s English is spot on. They probably won’t have her speak it too much because it would really make LMH’s stick out as bad. They can’t have that with him being the star of the show and all. I was like wow, she’s good just like Lee Byung Hun in IRIS. They both speak English with barely a detectable accent. Not to insinuate that articulating in another language that isn’t your own is easy, but when it’s that good you just have to acknowledge it.

I’m really enjoying Heirs, I think Eun Sang keeps holding herself from smacking Rachel because she doesn’t want to get notice anymore than she already do. Remember that she needs to graduate from that school to get a better future for herself and her mom, otherwise she would’ve kick that girl with pleasure! Lol!! I like that Eun Sang is a down to earth, bitchy, brave girl. I love her chemistry with Kim Tan, their conversations are witty, sarcastic and so funny! Also, I’m loving Young Doo. This young man is twisted but he’s like that because his dad is way more twisted! He’s the perfect enemy for Kim Tan because he’s rich, good at fighting, knows all his secrets and he’s smart. I’m looking foward to more fights from them!! Let’s talk about the mothers now, OMG I laughed so much with their catfights! Kim Tan’s mom is hilarious and Eun Sang’s mom knows how to push her so she can get things out of her. The second wife is a crazy old lady and what’s with the hair? Lol! Regarding the story, I think that dear dad is going to be dead soon and Kim Tan is going to fight his brother to save his mom and Eun Sang. The older brother has to paid for all the harsh words! When the older brother talks to Kim Tan in that horrible way, I want to hug Kim Tan! Poor thing! He loves his older brother dearly but if he left his mom and Eun Sang homeless you know he will do whatever it takes! I think is going to be a great battle! 🙂

I love Eun Chang’s character so much too! I love that even though she’s in an impossible situation she still manages to hold on to her pride and dignity. Yes, she is very, very brave given her circumstances. My feelings toward Young Do are a mixed bag. He’s an awesome character that I dislike but not completely. This is where the writers have done a great job of making you “feel” for him because of his abusive father. You get to see why he is such an a-hole. Yes, Kim Tan and Eun Chang’s chemistry….so great and sweet but heavy at the same time. These kids are rich (except for Eun Chang and her best friend) but they already have a deep, deep sense of duty like the average 18 year old would never have to contemplate. I do like the little sweet moments between them like when he put the dream catcher above her head when she was napping (hanging the sheets). Also, I thought it was cute when she snuck up to his room (like typical teenagers). I did catch the significance of the camera showing the hesitation of her feet at the bottom of the stairs leading to Tan’s room. She knew she was crossing into territory not her own, but bravely did it anyway. Awesome moment.
Another thing that struck me, when Rachel said to Tan….”I don’t care who you date/like” but implying we will still get married. In other words, even at 18 girlfriend is already playing the “rich wife who turns a blind eye to her cheating husband” role. I thought Woah….that’s deep to feel that at such a young age. As far as Tan’s dad, I agree it’s very plausible that he will die leaving the two brothers to fight it out. I do feel that Tan has reached out so many times to the older brother and he has shown that all he really wants is his brother to love him back. I think the older brother may regret it if he doesn’t come around. I still hold out hope that the older brother will see that he and Tan do have one thing in common at least and that is that they both love girls who were not/are not rich. I hope he will see they don’t have to be enemies.
I love Tan’s mom and Eun Sung’s mom together they are comedy to me and I love that. Can’t wait until next week.

I was just wondering Terri/Mari….how are you two watching Heirs? I am watching it on Dramafever, but I am unable to go past Episode 5. At first, I didn’t think I could even see Episode 5 until I logged into Facebook. I was only able to see up to Episode 4. I’m just curious. It would really suck if I couldn’t see anymore of it. I’m still trying to see if this drama will live up to its hype. Judging by the comments on Dramafever, most people feel as we do. So far it’s quite predictable and also someone else chimed in on what I’ve been thinking too. These damn near 30 year-olds are just that, too old to be playing high school students. It’s time to take “high school” out of your acting repertoire now.

I catched these stereotypes and I cringed every time that blonde surfer came out, you’re right to feel this way! My guess is that these situations were used as excuses to show that, Kim Tan is a strong, caring, savvy guy and the girl was naive to think that America is a perfect place were nothing bad happens. I think her sister may be doing drugs and later on we would see more of these stereotypes so brace yourselves. Sigh… Other than these situations, I like the drama because is a disfuncional family with catfights between mothers, hateful sibbling rivalry, bullying and mother/daughter love/hate which is very interesting to watch! Also, did I mention that Lee Min Ho is so handsome in this drama? Or that daddy gumiho is hotter when mad? 😀

Don’t get me wrong, I like the drama so far but it is kinda hard to not be bothered a tiny bit by the stereotypes. I do love looking at Tan (Lee Min Ho) and Daddy gumiho (I’ve got to find out his name….but l love calling him “Daddy gumiho”). *SMILES*……………………………….

I always LOL when I see Choi Jin Hyuk referred to as “Daddy gumiho.” I wonder if he knows that is what many of us are calling him, or if he knew that his character in Gu Family Book would be so popular with fans?

I’m watching I hear your voice and is very good! I’m in love with the young leading man, he’s so adorable!! I want to hug him! Also I watched Two weeks and it was great, the ending was beautiful, loved the way Lee Jung Ki acted as a father! His relationship with the little girl was so sweet! Love that girl, she’s already is a great actress at that young age! Of course, this father/doughter relationship isn’t as good as the one Rain had with Bori in Sang Doo! But is a great drama, watch it! 🙂

True, sadly I don ‘t have time to watch dramas or anything else as I used to cuz I’m working now. But I watched some episodes of The Voice, Once upon a Time and Agents of Shield. Also I’m trying to finish Jung Gi, godess of fire that became too long for my liking with 30 episodes! Jeez!! 😀

I’m watching Heirs and to tell the truth, Lee Min Ho’s English in my opinion is not that bad and the story line is so good I’m hooked already!! I know daddy gumiho is in it and his character is AWESOME!! He can do a bad, souless brother with ease, I expect a great drama full with twist and turns! I want to see Lee Min Ho and daddy gumiho “crossing swords” in a scene! Aghh can’t wait!! Oh the mothers are having their own cat fight so I’m very excited with this drama! 😀

Oh yeah, lots of twists and turns are gonna be in this one. Kim Tan’s fiance is a true “Biatch.” I can’t stand her already and he seems to not be in the dark about her either. At least he Knows she only accepted an engagement with him because she couldn’t get engaged to his older brother. Oh and I also like the fact that Tan found about Cha Eun Sung Before she found out that he’s the second son of the household. This way he can find out for sure that she didn’t pop up in his life because of his money.
I guess I’ll give Lee Min Ho’s English a second chance. It’s just that some words were “painful” to listen to, but Terri and I did come to the same conclusion. Our Korean would “suck rocks” in comparison to his English, SO in that regard you’re right his English is not that bad. He’s still my #2 behind Honey Love (in the K-drama department that is). *SMILES*

Heirs. Yeah.
Okay. First four episodes down. You know? This drama has some terrific potential. So, I sure do hope it lives up to my expectations and doesn’t disappoint me.
I love the way the writer is ever so slowly revealing bits and pieces of Kim Tan’s and Kim Won’s characters. Love the dramatic tension and the mystery that the writer has set up surrounding Tan’s exile to the U.S. and the tension between him and Won. What on earth could he have done to his big half-brother to make him so pissed off that he exiles him to another continent. Can’t wait to find out. Good, good writing.
Love the dreamcatcher. A dreamcatcher is an object from our Native American culture that some Koreans viewers might not be familiar with. So, I think the intended audience will find it fascinating, if it’s used well. Could be a terrific plot device.
Although some may disagree, I loved the fact that the first few episodes were set in California. It was fun for me to watch how a Korean director’s stereotypical view of the U.S. would play out. I knew that it would be totally lame–and it didn’t disappoint. The way over the top surfer dude, that running scene. OMG. LOL.
Love Park Shin Kye’s character (Cha Eun Sang). Such a good little actress. As the episodes went along, I think that someone told someone that Min Ho’s English was terrible, because he’s using less of it, and the bits that he is speaking are being done cautiously. So, it isn’t bugging me at all anymore.
As predictable as this drama is likely going to be with regard to plot, the cast of characters is something else altogether. What an interesting bunch! Kim Tan’s mom–what a loon. His dad is horrible. Eun Sang is appropriately miserable. They even have a mute cast member. That was a delight. Since I have a brother who is deaf and uses sign language to communicate mostly, I can tell you that Kim Mi Kyung is doing a terrific job in her role. Gosh, she’s a super actress. She always picks the best roles.
Looking forward to #5.

LOL! With regard to the plot and the Dramafever related themes…..predictable indeed. It’s a wonder we get hooked on theses dramas because the use the same elements time and again.
I agree with you about the dreamcatcher symbolism and it will be interesting to see how they use it throughout the drama. I can tell it will be very significant to Tan and Eun Sung’s relationship. I can see that. As far as the older brother goes, my thinking is that Daddy played favorites between the sons…knowingly or not, I’m not quite sure yet. My feeling (at least so far) is that the older son probably feels that Tan is Daddy’s favorite and Daddy would just as soon give the family empire to him. So maybe this is why he keeps trying to prove he can run the family business and also why Tan was exiled. However, at this point Tan is just 18 and he was exiled for 3 years. So, he was a 15 year old when he was sent away. You’re right, I don’t understand Daddy. How can an older brother exile his younger sibling when there is a parent still in the mix? Namely a father figure who’s still technically in control. You let your baby boy be sent away? I get that Tan’s mom was his mistress, but Daddy obviously decided to accept the boy, so…………………..
Yes, Eun Sung’s mother…she’s awesome as an actress. She’s another one I think would be excellent in American film and TV. I can’t even…..with the “California surfer boy”……….LOL!
One line that “pinched” (only a tad) was in the scene when Tan and Eun Sung were driving I think going to school and she’s squinting from the sun and he says…”Unless you want to turn into another race, here use these” (*he hands her sunglasses*). I was like Really? Did he really have to say That? Just how dark do you think you can get? Also, the scene was about sun in her eyes, not covering her skin. If that was the case, then hand her a hat or pull up the damned roof. BUT…….I decided to let that go it wasn’t that big of a deal. *SMILES* However, I do wish sometimes that when people reference “getting/being darker” it’s not always equated with something less than desirable……like Seriously! Honey, you may want some tint to your skin tone (it’ll keep you from “cracking”…naturally). Believe that! *SMILES*

Yeah, that comment about her turning into another race if she didn’t put on sunglasses was just–well–ouch. Really bad writing and insulting as well. And you are right. It wasn’t about protecting her skin in that scene. It was about her protecting her eyes, so the comment had no business being there at all.
Frankly, the rest of the show’s “American” humor was insulting as well. Like the fat guys chasing the couple and Tan making fun of them because they couldn’t catch them. Okay, so now all Americans are fat? (Okay, many of us are, but still.) And the guy coming on to Eun Sung’s sister at the cafe. Okay, so now all American guys are creeps? (As painful as it makes me to say this, not true.) And the boys in the street at her sisters house harassing Eun Sung while she’s sitting on her sisters stoop? Okay, so all streets in the U.S. are dangerous at night and all packs of kids are thugs? (Those boys were pretty tame for thugs in Cali, though. If you know what I’m saying. :-})
I mean, REALLY. Who the heck did they consult with regarding American culture? A 17-year-old American boy from Beverly Hills? LOL.

LOL! Exactly Terri! You know, I was really trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. I was trying to not be overbearing in my critique of their portrayal of American life/culture, but that “race” comment really got me. I agree with you wholeheartedly about the stereotypical way they chose to depict American life.
These K-drama producers/writers should now be FULLY aware that Westerners (i.e., Americans) watch these dramas not Just Koreans. With that in mind, I think they need to be more diligent in how they portray other cultures outside of Korea. They need to be more accurate in the portrayals. I don’t want to sound harsh, but they should. If a thug is going to send “his boys” after some teenagers, he’s not going to send two “couch potato” thugs to chase those kids down. That wouldn’t be realistic or portrayed on any kind of Western TV program…..period….wouldn’t happen. You’ve got to be SMART about how you portray other cultures, that’s if you’re going to put them in your dramas. The only Western characters (thus far) I could stomach was the professor at the school and the cop. Now, if they had done the stereotypical “black thing” (so far they haven’t) I would rip this drama a new “a-hole.” *SMILES*
Bottom line, I think they have to be very careful when they portray other cultures in their dramas, even if the culture in question is not the intended audience. Don’t just throw a bunch of stereotypes in your drama and say “oh well, this drama is for Koreans anyway.” Try to “see” those other cultures through a “broader” lense.

But you know, all of this conversation about how Koreans portray Americans, got me wondering. Do American directors of TV shows really do a better job depicting Asians on our TV shows.
Then I thought about Steven Yeun’s character, “Glenn,” on the hit TV series “The Walking Dead.” Zombies aside, that is a superbly written show. And Steven happens to be Korean. Are there jokes about Koreans? Sometimes. The difference is the jokes are always turned back onto the American(s) who are being the idiots, not on Glenn. In other words, they make Steven look even better, more superior than the idiots making the dumb jokes. That’s pretty common in American TV. We often turn the jokes back onto ourselves, not on any particular culture. In Korean dramas, it is usually quite the opposite. The object of humor is always on the other culture in the joke, not on Korean culture. That bugs me sometimes. Even if the show is for an Asian audience, why do they insist on doing that? It’s rude.
By the way, the character Glenn on The Walking Dead has a love interest on the show. I mean a REAL love interest–sex scenes and all. Yes, it’s with a white girl, but still. It’s a real step in the right direction for 1) a Korean-American to be cast in the show at all (even if it is based loosely on an American graphic novel that actually has an Asian in it–you all know how American directors love to white-wash everything, right?) and 2) a Korean-American to get not only a real love interest with kissing and sex scenes and everything. I mean GOSH.
And if you all aren’t watching the show because of the violence and the zombies, then maybe you should reconsider, because the writing is great. It’s a little weird and a little scary sometimes, but it’s still great. And seriously, if you could stand Ninja Assassin, you can probably stand zombies. LOL. Besides, the series is filmed here in Georgia. So, you get to see some of my and Stephe’s turf too if you watch it. An added bonus!.:-}

I’ve watched The Walking Dead actually a few times and I did see the Asian character Glenn on the episode where he actually did have sex with the girl. I thought it was cute how he was all “unsure” of being sexy to her (per se) and she assured him….”no baby love, I really do want you and your sex was good.” I was like….”Alrighty then, you go boy.” *SMILES* I thought it was awesome. I also remember seeing him interviewed on the E! channel, so I did know he was a Korean-American and I thought it was so cool. Things are looking up for Asian men in Hollywood (IMO). They are beginning to be portrayed as sexual beings also now. Which should be exciting for Asian male actors I would think….(again IMO).
I think it’s a great show, it’s just that I’m so tied up watching other shows I don’t know what else I can add to the plate. LOL! As it is my show “Grimm” will start it’s new season this Friday and right after that “Dracula” so I can’t wait. *SMILES* I LOVE watching supernatural stuff….love, love, love it. I also love romance and action too. Blame my Dad…..he exposed me to lots of things outside of black life growing up, so I’m like a sponge…..STILL. *SMILES*
I wholeheartedly agree that in American TV we are much more “sensitive” to how other cultures get portrayed. That’s partially due to the fact that we do have so many people who come from different cultures here. People over here will not hesitate to call you out on your “ish” if the need arises too. No, we don’t always get it right, BUT we are much more Aware of the things that can be considered offensive. That’s where the Korean TV industry drops the ball.

I just finished watching the first episode and yes…….yes his English does suck pretty bad. Some words he just can’t say. My thing is, if you’re the star of the show and you Know your character will be having significant lines in another language, then you should really practice, practice, practice. Some Korean actors are really good with their English like Lee Byung Hun for example. His English was Awesome and the first time I heard him speak it was in IRIS (a Korean drama). I was shocked at how good it was. Maybe I shouldn’t have been but I was.
What also sucks to me is the non-Korean actors they get to play Americans/Westerners. OMG, it’s like chalk on a chalkboard. Although, they weren’t too, too bad…but still. I try to be kind but it is what it is. I’m like, just keep the story in Korea please. LOL!

Just finished watching “Day of the Falcon” starring Antonio Banderas, Mark Strong and Freida Pinto on Netflix. It’s about an ongoing war between two desert kings. There’s a piece of land in the desert that separates the two kingdoms that each has agreed would remain neutral. What happens? Texas and its oil drillers come calling. Needless to say one of the kings breaks the treaty and then the rest of the story ensues. It was awesome. Check it out………………………………….

Watched the Donnie Yen movie Bodyguards and Assassins (2009) for the first time, as recommended by my cousin today.
My grade: EPIC.
The phenomenal martial arts took a backseat to the deep messages and themes in the story. The fate of 400 million people can literally hinge on what happens in ONE hour. You can tell people about yourself all day, but when sacrifice comes knocking at your door, how you handle it will show everyone the real you regardless of age, rank, or serial number. As much as people need to believe that peace and freedom can always come from handshakes and kumbayah moments, it doesn’t. Revolution means tons of blood and tears because the power-hungry and prejudiced on this planet simply will have it no other way. Which characters became assassins and which became bodyguards weren’t simple surface decisions, but gut-wrenching, life-changing reasons. I can only hope that, if the chips were down, I would be able to do the same thing.
Notes: The battle between Donnie Yen and Cung Le should go down in somebody’s Hall of Fame. All of the bodyguards were ordinary people just like you or me, and each sacrifice for a future generation that they wouldn’t even get to see hit me in the gut like a ton of bricks. Amazing writing and cinematography, and a final hour that was so intense it left me breathless and deep in thought even after the film was over. My love of foreign film has been greatly rewarded. Again.

The drama Jung Yi, Goddess of Fire is good but since is promoted by the government of Korea, it goes into the historical/educational areas more than the entertainment/romance areas. It’s sad cuz the story is great and I think that Kim Bum and the leading man’s talents are not used to the fullest. I’ll watch it until the end though, cuz I want to know how it ends. It’s a great drama if you want to learn about the history of ceramics and the historical Jung Yi. 😀

I’m in love with the drama Two Weeks!! It’s getting really intense!! Lee Jung Ki and the little girl are soo adorable together they break my heart. I like the love story A LOT!! It’s getting very interesting!! I think Lee Jung Ki has a character in his hands that can bring him lots of opportunities to show his many skills as an actor. 😀

I’m sure that I am behind the times on this one, but I just watched The King 2 Hearts with Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won. it had a very interesting storyline concerning the 2 Koreas and a great love story in the midst of a world crisis.

Aghhhh I loved King2hearts!! Great story, great acting and great love story!! You’re gonna fall head over heels with this one, guaranteed!! It scared the bejeesus out of me sometimes. the tension is on until the end and I cried several times so you’ve being warned! Lol!! Awesome drama!! Even when I enjoyed Gu Family Book a lot, King2hearts is still my #1 Lee Seung Gi drama!! 😀

I realize there may be a few who still may want to see “Pacific Rim” starring Idris Elba. It was good as well, but what struck me about this film was two things. The first is its throwback to old Godzilla days and the old tv shows we used to watch as kids. It’s not apparent at first, but you’ll soon see it about midway in the film.
The second thing that made me want to give the movie writer/creator a high five was the black guy actually got to be a hero that helps save the day, at least in major part. I won’t say more than that, but I was thrilled. Another thing that thrilled me was the relationship between Idris’ character (Stacker Pentecost) and the character Mako Mori. Stacker was one of the early Jaeger “soldiers.” During an invasion of the alien creatures in Tokyo, Mako’s parents were killed and only she survived. Jaeger soldier Stacker saw the little girl after he stepped out of his giant Jaeger armor. Skip several years later and it becomes apparent he raised Mako as his own daughter. I loved that when she saw him as a child, even though she was traumatized by the fact that her parents had just been killed she saw the Black male soldier as her “savior” and not the “big scary black man.” This may not be significant to some, but it spoke VOLUMES to me. My heart felt all warm and fuzzy. I see Hollywood is making some efforts….only Some at trying to show people of color in non-stereotypical ways. People of color are finally being given the opportunity to show that we can do more than just appear in the “invisible”, “non-sexual” roles of the past.

We went to see The Wolverine last night and I’ve gotta say it was really good. Loved the Japanese backdrop like I knew I would. As I’ve stated recently, it is becoming increasingly apparent that Hollywood is making concerted efforts to include more Asian story lines in mainstream films. While watching the movie trailer previews, I see there will be another Asian themed movie coming out starring Keanu Reeves entitled “47 Ronin.” It’s about samurai’s and fantastical creatures and a very evil looking woman who will shape shift in front of your eyes. Can’t wait to see it.
I really wanted to say that one thing struck me in “The Wolverine.” Two scenes in the movie were indicative of Hollywood’s efforts (albeit subtle) to show Asian males in a different light. A sexy/desirable light. The first scene where this was apparent was when Wolverine confronted bad guy/politico fiance in his hotel room. The guy was dancing around partying with some club chicks in his underwear (tightie whities only they were red). The camera spent significant time…several minutes panning this guy’s body (which was pretty ripped) in his “little red underwear” (as Wolverine said). Increasing his sexual presence on screen, at least I thought.
The second scene where I noticed this shift was when Wolverine went to save Mariko at her grandfather’s newly constructed building. Before reaching her he is confronted by the Ninja leader (Will Yun Lee) who was Mariko’s first boyfriend. Wolverine referred to him as “pretty boy” before he fought his way past the ninjas, or tried to. The bottom line is twice in one film reference was made to Asian males and their PHYSICAL appearance as being attractive. I have NEVER seen that happen in mainstream films before in any capacity. So Bi, is coming to Hollywood (hopefully) at a time when the Asian male is now being seen as sexually attractive as well. It has been a tough row to hoe for men of color period, but for Asian males I say it’s been an even longer time coming.

There’s something else I saw in The Wolverine that I think is significant, he loves a Japanese woman and they make love! Is a bi racial relationship up front and center and it was beautiful. Also the second lead actress is Japanese too, by the way, this girl stole the show, I like her a lot! I think that for an American movie, they showed Asians actors doing and feeling a lot more besides the hate, revenge or plain actions scenes. We’re making progress indeed! I think that the tides are changing to the point that if there is a second Ninja Assassin we may be able to watch Rayzo and Mika making love! Wow, that would be amazing! 😀

Ah, one can only hope Mari….one can only hope. You would think it could happen, after all it happens in Real Life all the time. There are plenty bi-racial/multi-racial/interracial couples in the world. Heck, most of us humans are multi-ethnic if we just really “break down” the sum total of all our genetic parts. LOL! That’s why I chuckle when I read comments on the internet where people say “I’m pure blood this, I’m pure blood that”…..I’m like HA! that’s what you want to think.
I agree, that the lovemaking scene was significant but there were a couple reasons why it did not stand out for me personally. (1) Wolverine is a Caucasian man and Caucasian men have always made love to the girl on film….be it the big screen or the small screen. Remember the mini-series “Shogun” starring Richard Chamberlin? He fell in love with the Japanese geisha girl and they made love on screen. Now if Raizo and Mika make love on film….what an impact that would be! The two most under-represented ethnic groups on film (as far as sex goes). I agree it would be awesome! (2) the Caucasian man has always been “the hero” on film and the girl always falls for the hero and the hero always gets the girl. However, I do agree with what you say. I do see that Hollywood is giving Asian actors the “room” to explore a wider range of emotions on film now. They are more than just stoic unemotional robots, or geeky side kicks.
Speaking of stoic and unemotional, if they had only allowed the Raizo character to expand on film. The character’s emotions would have come to fore through gradual progression. Bi would have been able to show his acting range even more so. This is why I wrote the fan fic in the first place. Ninja Assassin was fertile ground to explore new areas (on a lot of levels) and Hollywood dropped the ball on that one, BUT times are a-changing! *SMILES*

Oh, I just want to clarify. When I say under-represented as far as sex goes. I mean, sure you’ve seen Asian men in sexual scenarios (rarely) and you’ve seen Black women in sexual scenarios on film as well. However, Black women and Asian men have never been portrayed in Loving sexual scenarios with any kind of frequency on film (in the U.S. mainstream). It’s always in some kind of criminal environment, never in a loving, “I’m in love” kinda scenario…especially inter-racially. The only time I’ve ever seen this was on the short-lived series Flash Forward. Gabrielle Union and John Cho were the couple in a loving relationship and I thought it was awesome. Then damn if they didn’t cancel the series.

I started to watch Two Weeks with Lee Jung Ki, OMG is SO GOOD!!! Think Sang Do Let’s go to school mixed with Fugitive and A love to kill and you get this drama. I’m already hooked with it even when I’m not precisely a fan of Lee Jung Ki. But he’s a good actor and the story seems to be well done so I’ll watch it. The story is about this guy that learns that he has an eight years old daughter cuz she’s sick and the mother calls him to get his blood for a bone marrow. But he gets framed for a murder he didn’t commit and he has two weeks before the bone marrow transplant to prove his innocence. I like the relationship between Lee Jung Ki and the little girl that act as his daughter. They almost made me cry already! Lol!! Besides, I know Lee Jung Ki is really good at action scenes and is a fast-paced drama so I’m ready for heart stopping action scenes! Here’s a video, enjoy! 😀

I’m watching Miss Ripley with Park Yoo Chun. OMG I really, really want to kill the female lead of this drama cuz she’s BAD!! This woman is driving me nuts, it’s the first time I don’t want the leading man to end up with the leading lady!! >.< She's playing with fire big time, using men to get whatever she wants in life! This drama is good, I watched episodes 1 thru 9 in the weekend cuz I just couldn't stop!! I'm waiting for the executioner cuz this lady deserves to end bad! Lol!! On the bright side, Park Yoo Chun looks HANDSOME!!! The camera loves him and his character is adorable. Here is a video, enjoy! 😀

Finished Miss Ripley. Sighhh The ending was good cuz I didn’t expected they would end together but I have some issues. Mi Ri paid for her sins and that was a good ending for her. The mother also paid for her sins and at the end Mi Ri forgive her so it was a good ending for her too. The older man ended in a good way as a doctor, but I didn’t like that Chunnie ended alone. If the writers made Mi Ri pay for her sins then the only thing that separated them was that she was his step-sister? Are you kidding me? Chunnie’s father was something else, the man separated mother and daughter because he was jelous and then he dares to separate his son, who obviously loved Mi Ri to death, just because it wasn’t his fate!! Please give me a break!! He made his fate even when the woman he loved had a daughter, that he made orphan to have her and his mother didn’t approved!! Seriously, I hate that man!! I hope that Chunnie’s character opens his eyes and get the woman he loves no matter what his father or people say! I cried with Chunnie when he cried for Mi Ri, OMG, he was so adorable but at the same time so strong in that character!! Love him!! 😀

In non-drama related What Clouds Are Watching. Hubby and I went to see “Pacific Rim” last Sunday and “Red 2” this past Sunday. I really don’t want to spoil it for anyone who plans on seeing these two movies….But…..

Pacific Rim – midway in the film it will start to feel “throwback-ish” to a time period familiar to those of us who watched martial arts films and Ultra man on Saturday mornings as a kid. At least certain elements of the film. Other things surprised me in a warm and fuzzy kind of way and I was happy to see it.
Red 2 – was an awesome action comedy with an excellent ensemble cast. I loved each character…..but can I just say Lee Byung Hun…..that’s it….just Lee Byung Hun. See this movie and you will KNOW of which scene I speak. MERCY!!
Tonight we’re supposed to see “The Conjuring”….we already saw a little bit. It’s “make you jump in your seat” scary.

I went last Saturday to see Wolverine and is really good!! It was filmed in Japan so you get to see beautiful scenery. I don’t want to tell you more but it was awesome!! I’ll give you a clue, in the middle of the movie my eldest girl said, “Ninja, ninja, ninja!!” -in the same sing song voice as the bad guy in Ninja Assassin- I just couldn’t stop laughing!!

Started to watch Jung Yi, Goddess of fire and is good!! I’m watching mostly because Kim Bum is on it and I know his character is going to be memorable! He looks stunning as a warrior and he’s doing really well with the actions scenes! He’s great with a sword and he also do archery! Kim Bum is a childhood friend of Jung Yi, the female lead. He’s in love with Jung Yi since they were children but she loves him like an elder brother. Sighh Kim Bum’s character is a charming young warrior that protects Jung Yi because she’s a firecracker who is always looking for trouble! She’s falling in love with a prince no less!! I love that while watching the drama I’m learning about the history of porcelain vases, pottery and how to make it. It’s very interesting! This drama is already getting high ratings so go watch it!! 😀

I thought I’d switch gears for a moment and ask what you all think about this? A BOFs American remake. Yep, the comments are brutal….but I’m ashamed to say that (minus the negativity about Americans in general) many have a point. BOFs is one of my absolute favorite dramas and I must agree that I don’t think the “innocence” of the love story would translate over here either. We, unfortunately, have let “innocent love” type story lines go by way of the dinosaur. They would have to “amp” it up to even get people to notice it over here I think. It was look the sweetness/tenderness. Just thought this was interesting.

I agree. I don’t want to watch an “amp” version cuz it will go into another level entirely! BUT if Disney works that version then maybe it will work cuz the USA audience expects innocence and cuteness from them. Otherwise, I want the korean version!! By the way, BOF was a hit in Puerto Rico, they showed like three times cuz people like it that much in a “cultural/national channel” were shows are rated for all audiences. It worked fine! 😀

Ah, I forgot about Disney (how’d I do that….SMILES). Disney is really the only “sweet/romantic/wholesome” film entity left in the U.S., as far as I know. Even, they aren’t as “sweet” as in years past. They would be the only hope for a BOFs remake in the U.S.
If this does get made I hope they keep with the Asian theme. I could see it being made with Asian characters who are “transplanted” Americans. It could be “old world” values versus “new school” ideals as the storyline backdrop. Otherwise, I really don’t see it being a good idea to remake it for the U.S. market. Not everything can be made realistically for every country.

The lake scene……..Aaah, that’s what “killed” me. I thought why, why, why can’t they let this young man have some lasting happiness? I totally agree it was visually a very beautiful scene indeed. I thought it was so cool that after 422 years Kang Chi got to be surrounded by all the familiar faces from his past. No doubt he will be able to re-connect with them in the present day. Their personalities/situations are so similar to their past lives. If I project my thoughts onto the characters from the past, I would assume that the Admiral did build his ship and probably continued on and became an even bigger war hero. Since present day Kang Chi drove by the statue honoring him in the middle of downtown Seoul. I think the assumption for all the characters is that they all went back to a semblance of the lives they lived prior to Daddy and Baby Gumiho coming into their lives. I think Tae Seo probably got the 100 yr Inn back. Master Dam and Gon continued to teach at the academy. Cheong Jo (unfortunately) probably remained a gisaeng. Back in those days when a lady turned “pro” there’s no going back to being a “proper” lady, but at least she still had the love of her brother. Also, I think Kang Chi’s “adoptive father” and servant friend probably continued to live as they always had. Same with his hoodlum friend.
They did set this up well for a season 2, so here’s to hoping there will be a season 2. I think Seung Gi is a great young actor. When actors can really go to that vulnerable place (wherever that is for them) the viewer really can connect with them….it’s crazy. He’s a little cutie too (not pretty like Bi or Daddy gumiho) but a cutie. There is something quite attractive about him. Also, love that chin dimple and when he goes wide-eyed innocent….forget it. He plays up that side to himself well. Can’t forget Suzy, she played a strong female lead no wimpy girl. She was the perfect compliment to Kang Chi’s divine creature character. Does the Gu Family Book exist? Hmm….that’s a good question. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t. That’s a good question for season 2 (hopefully). *SMILES*………..

I really hope there’s a second season and they did left it like there will be. It would be interesting to watch it, no doubts about it. I thought that the cresent moon over the tree this second time is for Kang Chi’s destiny. Do you remember what the monk said, that it was Yeo Wool’s destiny and that Kang Chi couldn’t interfere? I think this time Kang Chi can die or become a demon and Yeo Wool won’t be able to stop his destiny. Also, it would be interesting to watch Kang Chi and Yeo Wool confrontations cuz they used to have them in the past, now it would be worst cuz they come from different times in history! Maybe we’ll finally learn what’s in the Gu Family Book! 😀

It was AWESOME! The ending was SO cool and so fitting and gave me my happy ending!! Kang Chi had so much heartache in his young life, the writers let his life come full circle. I love, love, love this drama and damn if I didn’t have to pull a huge lump out of my throat. It takes a lot to make my eyes tear up watching TV but Episode 24 took me over that threshold.

I cried so much in that last episode! OMG!! Kang Chi destroyed me with his crying!! That scene with Yeo Wool sitting next to him near the lake was so breathtaking! Love it! I liked the ending, it was a cool twist. Of course Kang Chi would be loaded with money! Lol!! I laughed when they showed his clothes, car, home and my heart skipped a beat when they showed Kang Chi’s upper body! Yumm! It was great that they showed the “reincarnation” of almost all characters we love, specially Gon, gorgeous!! But we didn’t get to know what the Gu family book was about and what happened with the characters after Kang Chi left. Did the admiral made the steel plated ship? Did they go to war? We only knew about Lord Bi Jo, by the way, I liked that Kang Chi ripped off his hand! I would’ve let him live for the rest of his miserable life rotting in jail though. Also, I wished they made a scene were Kang Chi could talk with the modern Yeo Wool that showed him getting closer to her. The scene with the gansters was too long and episode 23 was wasted in meaningless things. I think they needed another episode to finish loose ends. Other than that, I enjoyed it a lot. Lee Seung Gi did an amazing job and Suzy too as well as the cast. 😀

BiAlamode, you are so right on this one! I really enjoyed Gu Family Book—-very different storytelling for a Korean drama with twists and turns we didn’t expect! Kang Chi (Lee Seung Gi) is a cutie pie, kinda like our Mickey Yoochun. Episode 24 took me straight to the “tissues”, but the resolution for ALL the past life issues was creative and quite romantic when he was able to reunite with Youl. #needthisonDVD #beinghumanisnteverything. Well, since we are talking about Gumiho’s, that must be the new thing in dramas. Nail Shop Paris had a bit of that in it’s storyline, and what a storyline that had……so many *scratch you head? moments. I just went along for the ride.

The father first started out looking for the Gu Family Book and trying to be human. Now, 20 years later, the son is doing the very same thing. This drama has made a nice, complete circle, which is what was intended all along. Well done, writers!

I believe Yeo Wool is the one who got shot. We already know Kang Chi can’t save her anymore. What I hope is that somehow Daddy Gumiho will “feel” Kang Chi’s distress and awaken to come save Yeo Wool and wreak havoc on Jo Kwan and Company once and for all. Then I can have my happy ending.

I watched episodes 21-22 and I cried because Wol Ryung broke my heart!! You know a drama is good when you watch the episode a second time and you cry again! Lol!! I liked the way it was done! Although I wished a happy ending for Wol Ryung and Seo Hwa it didn’t happened the way I expected it and I LIKE THAT!! First, Seo Hwa did the right thing, she sacrificed herself for the well being of humanity and for the love of her life. As I thought, when she touched Wol Ryung he remembered a bit about her, enought to stop him from killing more people and her. I loved that part, I know it was a bit corny but I don’t care! Lol!! Then he took her to the cave and it was great that the original actress who played Seo Hwa could come and do that extra scene cuz it was really touching that he could remember her the way she was in her youth. I think it gave the scene a better perspective and made it real, it’s a fantasy drama, I know but it made sense. Then she died and Wol Ryung pour his heart out crying and damn he’s a great actor and made me cry twice!! Jeez, it was such a great scene, he did it so well. This scene could’ve go wrong at any moment cuz it was a long scene. He cry out like forever but he did it well till the end when he said, “Seo Hwa open your eyes!” He destroyed me right there! Lol!! Also, the song, his voice is sooo beautiful!!! He should get into singing for real!! Love his sexy voice!! I like that Seo Hwa could asked for forgiveness from Kang Chi and Wol Ryung, she did good and you could feel that she grew from a shy girl to a powerful and smart woman. I can’t wait for Monday, really, I expect an amazing and unexpected ending. I’m curious about the Book of Gu, what it would lead Kang Chi to do. I hope it leads to the woman he loves. 😀

OMG, Mari, I agree 100%! I celebrated and swooned like crazy when Wolyong the guardian of the mountain showed up again after Sohwa did what she had to do. The scene where she stopped Wolyong in his 1000 year demon self was awesome, everything I wanted. Yes, when he begged her to open her eyes, I just caught my breath, he was so pitiful. ㅜ_ㅜ And when they were together at last forever, I just boo-hooed. Nice job.
Another wonderful moment was when Kangchi told his father that every now and then, as time went by, he would think of him. So great. And the monk’s joy to see his old friend Wolyong back to himself. Yay!
The moral of that story was terrific — real love can banish even demon blood.
Now, Kanghchi and Yeol… that’s gonna be a lot more complicated. I can’t wait to see how they resolve that, if the writers go the expected route or get creative and surprise us.
I laughed myself into a stupor when they stuck it to that piece of garbage Lord Jo. OMG, the satisfaction of that. (But it ain’t over yet. The old A-hole is still kicking.) Not to mention when Kon ended up in a rather compromising position on top of Kangchi. I was like, don’t just lay there all outraged and stuff! Get your leg out from around him at least, dude! ROFL
Gah, do we only have two episodes left, really? *heartbroken*

I can’t stand Jo Kwan like I hated that prince in Faith and both characters are like gum on the bottom of your shoe. They just won’t damn go away…..Be Gone!
Hey, speaking of the unexpected. I think the expectation is Kang Chi would eventually become human and live happily with Yeo Wool. However, the Kang Chi that we’ve come to know and love will not be able to keep from showing his supernatural form for 100 days (IMO). He champions the underdog always and he won’t be able to help himself. I think Yeo Wool may end up dying and since Kang Chi can no longer save her with his supernatural blood, he may “choose” to die with her.
Just my theory. Can’t wait to see what actually happens.

Yes this can be the end. I agree that Kang Chi may not be able to stop himself from helping others. There are two episodes left so many things can happen. I think that he may become a demon too and Yeo Wool can die but maybe it will not stop there. Wol Ryung is not really dead, he can comeback at any time and Kang Chi is going to live forever too, they’re divine creatures so my guess is that maybe Seo Wha and Yeo Wool can comeback somehow. Maybe the Gu Family Book have some way for making them inmortals. After all, we don’t have an idea of what’s in that book. This is a wild guess but it can work. 😀

Kang Chi and his father was the best moment. Finally father and son meet normally. The moment was not long enough 😦 Now I am curious about this book he is looking for. We have two episodes left and very little has been said about it. Seems like the writers of the show changed concepts because the series has never been about the Gu Family Book. Excited to see how this turns out.

I laughed so hard when Yeo Wool turned the tables on Gon in that scene! It was great and his face was priceless! Lol!! The monk made me tear a bit with his celebration for his hyung comeback, soo cute! Kang Chi with is dad was a beautiful scene! Sigh I wanted them to be together but Wol Ryung choose to be with his beloved Seo Hwa. I didn’t expected that scene were he lays with her and stays at her side forever. So romantic! I expect great acting from this guy on “Heirs”. 😀

I really felt for Kang Chi also in these episodes. He was so emotionally spent. Finally, he was able to lay his head in his Mama’s lap and she stroked his hair like mother’s do….he was so content. Then to finally see his father Wol Ryung “human-like” in the end telling him he would miss him too. I felt so bad for Kang Chi to finally have his parents to lose them all over again. Lee Seung Gi really brought the emotion for me in these two episodes. I can’t wait to see how it ends too.

That’s true, Kang Chi has suffered a lot in these last episodes! He was poisoned, pierced by sword in the battle with Yeo Wool’s dad, pierced 4 times by arrows and when he was happy with his mom, she dies. Now he must leave behind the love of his life. Sigh I feel so sad for him! I hope he can find peace and with Yeo Wool by his side. 😀

OK……I’m caught up now…just finished episodes 17-20. I LOVE Gu Family Book…..love, love, love this drama. There is not one character that can’t stand on their own in this drama. All these characters have made me love this show from the first episode til now. I agree Terri….the fight scene between father and son….Wow!
As this drama goes on, I find myself wanting the “gumiho family” to be a family in spite of how I am sure their story will end. Their story was so tragic and I don’t care so much about Seo Hwa’s feelings but I do want father and son gumihos to somehow come together. Although it’s probably never going to happen.
This drama I will probably watch over and over. Love it!!

Awww I want them to become a family too!!! I don’t want Daddy gumiho to end death or kill Seo Hwa!! Although I know there’s a great possibility he ends doing just that, I want Kang Chi to have a father and mother. When Kang Chi started to cry over his meal it broke my heart!! Also when Kang Chi forgave his mom and when he hugged Yeo Wool after the battle with her dad I cried, both were great scenes! I love this drama! 😀

Exactly! When he cried over his meal, that tugged at my heart strings too. It really hit him, how much he longed to have/be a part of a family and it was a bittersweet moment for him. If anyone deserves a family he does and I want that for him so bad.

Oh, my goodness! A kissing scene that lasted a minute-and-a-half and that included two grown-up kisses and a girl who kisses back? And in a historical-type drama too. What is the world of K-Dramas coming to? LOL.
All I have to say is: I LOVED IT.
Thank you, directors Shin Woo-chul and Kim Jung-hyun for not treating us like idiots. Seriously, K-Drama directors, we KNOW Koreans have sex, okay? LOL.
In spite of the contrivances and the dramatic, soap opera-like, pauses that go on for FAR too long from time to time (which I have to force myself not to fast forward through), I’m enjoying this drama very much.
Love the Gu Wol-ryung character. Love all of the characters, actually, now that I’m actually thinking about it. All of the main characters are quite well drawn, and even some of the minor characters are intriguing.
My favorites at the moment: Tae Seo and Gon. Can’t wait to see how the “love-rectangle” between the three guys and Lady Yeo-Wool pans out.
And I don’t know about anybody else, but I’m liking Park Chung-jo less and less with each episode. Yes, I know you were forced into becoming a gisaeng, girly, but your cattiness with Yeo-Wool in the last few episodes has irritated the hell out of me.
Come on, you screamed and backed away from Kang Chi when he became a “monster,” going so far as to throw leaves at him. Which was PERFECT, by the way, but that’s besides the point. Now, you’re bugging me and I want to hit you (and I’m SO not a violent person. LOL).

A very funny scene in The Runaway, Plan B that brought laughter out of me. The other scene that caused me to laugh was when JiWoo sneaks a three of kisses from Jin Yee and is clapped each time. I giggled so loud that I disturbed the computer lab on campus. So cute!

I bought period drama Il Ji Mae: The Phantom Thief (2008, 20 episodes) at my favorite video store a while back, started watching it while I was at the beach in May, and just finished the last episode this week.
LOVED IT.
Lee JunKi and Park ShiHoo were THE BOMB. Omg.
Loved the whole story and the ending so much that when I get some time I’m going to dig into the sequel, Return of Il Ji Mae (2009, starring Jung IlWoo).

I watched Return of Iljimae and I loved it!! First, Jung Il Woo looks stunning in every episode, I love him with long hair!! Second, he’s really good at fighting scenes and he looks great as a ninja! Third the love story is awesome!! I cried so be aware!! Lol!! It’s a drama you will remember, guaranteed!! 😀

Just finished this epi, and OMG, I tell you, the scene with Kangchi, Yeol, and Wolyong in the woods was visually stunning. Plot-wise, it totally took my breath away. I literally couldn’t breathe during the fight between father and son. We knew for a long time that THAT was inevitable, that fight. And after Wolyong got the heck on up outta there… the kisses. Oh, the kisses.
I’m sooooo worried about Wolyong. I don’t condone him slicing through the innocent population like he is, but he was treated so badly by everyone before his murder, what the heck does anyone expect. He didn’t ask to return as a demon. It just is what it is. I wish he could be saved somehow, so badly. He’s in so much mental and physical pain right now. Breaks my heart. ㅜ_ㅜ
I wonder if “Ms. Fake Japanese” recognized her baby boy at the end???? Heh. Looks like he is going to tell her his name, next epi…

I totally love this show. I am expecting in the next episode for Wolyong to come in and save his son and freak out his widow in the process. I think in the end of the series Wolyong will be saved and give up his life at the same time. Gon Chi I think will become human but I still don’t know if he will get the girl in the end.

OMG the battle scene between Wol Ryong and Kang Chi was soo cool!! Love it!! But after it, I felt pity for Wol Ryong!! The scene were he’s at the library after being hurt was so sad because he’s still in love with Seo Wha! When he saw the love in his son’s eyes for his woman he remembered the past and felt the pain all over again. Is true that it’s not his fault that he became a demon so I hope he can recognize his love and don’t kill her. I’m hoping that when he touch Seo Wha he gets his memories back and be calm as it happens to Kang Chi when Dam Wool touches him. Aghhh the kisses were amazing!! I loved that Dam Wool kiss Kang Chi back!! Finally, a girl in a korean drama with enough character to kiss back and be bold!! Lol!! I knew it was gonna be a great kiss cuz Seung Gi is good at it but Suzy’s response was a total surprise! She did a great job!! I guess Seung Gi taught her well!! Kekeke I hope they have a happy ending, after all, this drama has a comedy side and usually when that happens the drama ends well. But really, anything can happen!! Kang Chi is in a bad shape, hurting a lot cuz the wine that bad saseng girl gave him and his transformation so I hope Wol Ryong comes and saves him. He can kill the bad old guy in the process!! After all, he’s the one that started the whole situation that made him a demon! I can’t wait to watch the next episode!! 😀

Can’t wait to see how Kang Chi’s mother reacts now she realizes she is looking at her son! And I wonder if she will reveal tonight to Kang Chi she is his mom.
