SONG OF THE WEEK: The acoustic version of “Love Is (Sarangiraneun Geon) 사랑이라는 건”. As you may recall, a few weeks ago (military week #78), the regular and most often heard version of “Love Is” was my song of that week. When I first heard the acoustic version, I was driving somewhere and was playing Disc 2 of my Rainism Recollection (2009) for the very first time, and I almost ran up onto the shoulder of the road in some sort of ecstatic fog. Without all of the heavy music accompaniment of the regular version, and just Rain’s fantastic voice to hold it up, this to me is Rain’s most beautiful song ever. I have several favorites, and they’re all undeniably gorgeous, but I’m just saying. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SHOWCASE OF RAIN’S VOICE. This.
