[fan cams] Revisiting 2005: More Rainy Day Tour stop in Beijing. Wow.

Cloud cover by: Stephe, Managing Editor ^@@^

{Edited to Add: On the concert DVD, you can see where the assassin dancer comes in and “shoots” him and dancers chase the guy and go to Rain’s aid, etc… and then there’s a theatrical interlude, and you hear a heartbeat start up, and then a resuscitated Rain comes down from the sky on a pole and you’re on to the next song. Why in the world I haven’t run across that whole segment on the Internet rather than fan cams that END right after the shot is flippin’ ODD. LOL! ^@@^}

Do enjoy Rain’s sexy, sizzling “my girls and me” dance interlude, with his hair all gorgeous and fluffy (he wore the cornrows in Seoul), and “Do You Love Me or My Fame?” WITH Drunken Fist AND that crazy drive-by shooting stunt that had some fans shaken up.

I’ve only seen one other fan cam of “the shooting”, taken from a far distance, where you couldn’t see Rain well but you knew that he went down, and I remember it messing my mind up for a minute even though you HAD to know it was part of the show. And, watching this fan cam here, I had completely forgotten that this was that song until about two seconds before the shot rang out, so when he went down, it startled the holy crap out of me again. Ugh. I am so glad he stopped doing that, I wanted to kick his butt, you just don’t know. Eek.

I am so grateful for these rare Rainy Day glimpses. So should you be. ^@@^ 🙂

    • That’s why I wanted to say something first, pink. I knew how it might go down if I didn’t. I downplayed my reaction a lot but my hair stood up like Don King’s, that how badly it scared me at first. LMAO! I remember how some fans on YouTube were having fits, the ones that didn’t realize it was just show, and the few who did were saying stuff like “it happened mid-show and he did the rest of the show so obviously he’s alive” LOL!

      Ughhhh. LOL

      • And…before the heartbeat and such, it sounds like the fans are chanting: “Rain! Come back! Rain Come back!” At least I think that’s what they are saying. If it’s English anyway. If it’s not, then it’s Korean, and I haven’t a clue what they are chanting, but it’s clear they are, like, “involved” in the scenario somehow, like they were expecting it to happen. Which is good, because if not, I expect there would have likely been a riot and the shooter would have been ripped to shreds by Rain’s Clouds. So, I’m thinking that maybe something has been lost in translation somewhere.

        Like everyone else here, I was completely taken aback and freaked out the first time I saw the video. Which of course, logically, way back in my mind, makes no sense, because the first time I saw it, it was a video from long ago. Still, I was NOT amused. In fact, I remember being quite pissed off. Maybe it has something to do with living in Atlanta, where there are drive-bys and where I hear gunfire all the time? (Yes, even way out here in the suburbs where Stephe and I live. Sigh.)
