[Cloud USA announcement] It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas again…

Cloud USA is pleased to announce that we have decided to send a Christmas box to Rain this year. The box will be delivered to RAINY Entertainment, who will then forward it on to his house for when he’s on vacation, for his convenience. Cloud USA will be paying the postage for the box to be delivered to Rain.
If you would like to be included in our Christmas box project, please send your gifts to:

PLEASE READ this ENTIRE post very CAREFULLY!
What to send:
• SMALL, unwrapped, non-fragile gifts reflective of your personality and/or LOCATION
• holiday cards, unsealedWhat NOT to send:
• large, bulky gifts
• wrapped gifts that cannot be inspected for customs purposes
• perishable foodstuffs (NO candy, chocolate, cookies, etc.)
• fragile itemsDeadline: Monday, December 17, 2012.
Please do not wrap your gifts. Please understand that if you send us a wrapped gift, your gift will still be unwrapped and inspected for customs purposes. South Korean customs aren’t fond of wrapped objects, and we don’t want the box delayed because of that.
Please send your gift as early as you can to allow us adequate time to pack and ship the box. Any gifts received after the deadline OR that don’t meet the guidelines above will NOT be included in the box and the sender will be contacted to coordinate return shipping.
For anyone who can’t send a card or gift and would like to send Rain a Holiday e-mail message instead, just send an E-MAIL for him to letitrain@cloudusa.org, one that is simple for us to PRINT OUT, and we’ll include it in a special binder in Rain’s Christmas box as well.
*NOTE: Online greeting cards are NOT ideal for this. Do not send those.
Have fun shopping for or crafting gifts for Rain, dear fans. (You know — postcards from your city/state/location would really show JiHoon how far his influence has spread!) Let’s send him a flood of cards guaranteed to put a smile on his face.

I sent my package today!! Weeeee!!!! Lol!! I hope JiHoon like them! I put them in a paper gift bag, you may sent them in it or not or put other gifts inside, whatever you want. I did it just to keep things neat and well identified in the box. Kekekeke 😀

I’m excited too Stephe. With all the gifts Rain will get a GREAT Christmas gift box (I also like to think of it as a care package since he is in the military). It’s one thing to read on message boards how much your fans care about you but it’s something totally different and more special to get heartfelt gifts from them. I want him to just be overwhelmed with fan gifts this Christmas 🙂

Stephe and Terri, mine is on it’s way. I sent it two days ago express so it should get there in time.
I just send a simple Canadian Touque (wool hat for you Americans) and a Christmas card tucked inside. I wrote some Hangul on the Card hope I spelt it right and didn’t tell him I wanted to have his baby by accident ….. or is it?? (heh heh heh)

OMG Glad to know I’m not the only one!! This year I’m lost with Rain’s gift! I was looking for something handmade from a puertorrican artisan but haven’t found anything yet. I’ll be looking for the gift tomorrow. Sighh Regarding “Secret Santa” ideas, my advice is talk with someone who knows your co-worker well and buy something he/she likes but nothing too personal. A tie, pen, wine bottle, Christmas cds, books, makeup, nail polish kit, body lotions, useful stuff are great gifts. Hope I can be of help! 😀

I did finally finagle some ideas from another coworker who has been working with my Secret Santa recipient far longer than I have. So, I feel better today about buying those gifts.

Don’t know if you set a price point for your “secret santa” gifts, but I bought little decorative stationary with mini matching pens for the ladies in my office less than $10 bucks. There are 4 ladies in my office besides myself and every last one of them makes more than I do…I know that.
Also, you might do gift cards to (ex: to Barnes & Nobles or any popular restaurant in your area or gift cards to a Bath & Body Works for guy or girl…everybody can use skin care products) or American Express gift cards with a price point you set, the recipient can decide what they want to buy).
Just my two cents. Hope this helps. *SMILES*…………..

Our budget is $20.00 for the big gift. For 3 days, we give small items like notes and candy. On the fourth we have a celebration and hand out our big gifts. It’s a lot of fun. The people I work with are very funny at times, and during the holidays they are on their “best behavior. If you know what I mean. LOL.

Thank you for arranging the Christmas box and wouldn’t it be great if we could actually get to see some pictures maybe before the box is sent and/ or even when he receives it. Sure hope he will get to be home with his family during the holidays.
I received the photo book I made earlier than anticipated. It is already on its way to you as I mailed it out on Monday, should be there around tomorrow I was told. The red box is for you, enjoy!

Hi, Toni. You’re very welcome. Terri and I usually do take and post pictures of all the gifts together before the Christmas Box is sent, so that will come.
I have to say, though, the only time Rain has taken pictures with gifts he received was during global fan meetings and stuff like that. We wouldn’t dream of asking him to take pictures during his private time. It would definitely be great, but I wouldn’t count on something like that, unfortunately.

Gee, we’ve received the DVD player that you sent Rain for Christmas. Thanks, girl! LMAO JUST KIDDING. Just kidding, folks. Truthfully, if anyone were to send Rain a DVD player, I’d look at them like they were crazy. The man has enough money to buy himself and everybody in Korea a DVD player — he doesn’t need stuff like that.

And you are so right that Rain can afford just about anything. As a matter a fact add a note to my gift and ask him to buy me a ticket to Korea and give me a backstage pass to his come back concern. You should have seen the look on my face when I read the DVD player. I was like huh? I thought “maybe I should have sent the book I bought him”. Yes, I bought him a book AND the other stuff I sent already. But I decided that the book plus what I did send was a bit “too much”. So, I kept the book (and the Christmas Snoopy gift bag). Yes, I got a bit TOO happy when I went shopping for Rain. But I had fun. LOL.

Yes, Kongsao, it’s okay to use the yellow envelope or the paper, whatever you’d like.
You don’t have to put his address on it, because it will be inside our Christmas box. Just put his name on it, to Rain, so that he sees that when he picks it up. And you can write that it’s from you if you want to.
