  1. Well Mari,

    This weekend we had to get a new TV because the previous one “conked out” on us. So, we ended up getting a smart tv, which lets you use the internet through Google tv. Guess what….it had a viki.com and dramafever.com app. I SO installed them. Now I can watch the end of my dramas on the huge screen too. (*fan girl….squeeeee!*)

    Ha! I even pulled up this site on the tv. Seeing Honey Bi in uniform all huge at the house. WOW! I’m psyched. *SMILES*

    • Whoa that’s soo cool!!! 😀 I want one of those, let’s see if Santa brings me one this Christmas! Lol!! I’ve being asking a lot for it, so lets see if I get my wish! Since I finished Rooftop Prince and cried, so stupidly, now I’m watching Protect The Boss to take it easy. It’s hillarious and you know I’m watching cuz Jae Joong of JYJ is on it. Damn, that man is georgeous!! I keep drooling every time I see him. Jae looks so handsome in suits, arghhh, his smile is just adorable! I’m on episode 5 and so far is good. Nice Guy is getting complicated, I don’t know what’s gonna happen and the same goes with Faith, I have no idea how it’s gonna end but there are some episodes left, Faith is a 24 episodes drama so we’ll see. Enjoy that TV!! 😀

      • I had a feeling Faith was gonna be a long one. I’m just hoping she ends up with Choi Young. I get the feeling they may end up together in the future, since her “future self” has been dropping clues/hints through the notebook pages and in her dreams.

        Nice guy….I’m not sure either, but I think or I feel he’s going to fall in love with the chairman’s daughter even in spite of himself. He wanted to use her to hurt Han Jae Hee, but he’s gonna find that they need each other. Oh, oh and he’s got a blood clot in his brain and is going to need surgery. I hope he gets with the chairman’s daughter before Han Jae Hee finds out about his condition.

        Yes, I will definitely enjoy watching my shows on the big screen. *SMILES*……………………

  2. Finished Rooftop Prince! OMG loved the ending and cried too. Sighh his letter killed me. This drama was really well done, everything falled into place, they didn’t leave unfinished stuff and the acting was really good. 😀

    OMG OMG OMG They kissed!!! Arghhh!!! Lee Min Ho is soo darn good at kissing!! Then that hidden smile to her, like “I’ll get you later when we get to be alone, this is only the beginning” It was a genious of a scene!! I died right there!! Lol!!! What I like about Faith is that I really have NO IDEA of how it’s going to end!! It has being such a wild ride!! I can’t believe is almost finished! I didn’t expected that the king’s obnoxious councelor was going to die so soon! But I was soo happy that it happened! I couldn’t stand him anymore! Lol!! I loved the part when Eun Soo was sick and wanted to be pampered cuz Choi Young did everything she asked him to do, even act as a pillow for her! Lol!! Also, the way he threw that table to the floor in the uncle’s house when he was looking for the antidote and the beating he gave to the king’s uncle was well done, I wanted him to do something like that! 😀

    • Yes, they kissed….finally! Although, it wasn’t the typical Lee Min Ho open mouth kiss, still it was beautifully done and worked well with the scene and his warrior character. His character is not full of “hearts and flowers” even though Eun Soo is making him want to be more and more, I think. You’re right, the story has been written in such a way that the ending is hard to predict….will she stay? will she go? will he stay? will he go? will they die together?……I’m on the edge of my seat! *SMILES!*………

      I do know that I can’t wait until somebody “sticks a fork” in that Prince and I don’t say that lightly, but I completely hate his character. It’s been a while since I have hated a character this much. So this actor is really, really good at being bad. *SMILES*……….

      Well on to the next episode……………………………….

      • Yes!! I want that man cut in pieces!!! Lol!!! I usually don’t get that mad with characters in korean dramas but I have my “Extra bad villians list” that includes,

        1- No Min Woo’s nurse in Midas- This woman was supposed to be so kind but really, in my opinion, she tortured to no end No Min Woo’s character who was a cancer patient. That woman knew that he loved her dearly but she just gave him medications and watch him cry in pain and she didn’t even hold his hand or hug him!! Arghh!! On top of that, she left him alone when he needed her the most to go away with her fiance, who left her for another woman, her father suffer for him and he even went to jail! I still can’t forgive that woman! No Min Woo killed me with that character, I cried buckets!!

        2- King’s Uncle in Faith- you already know his bad actions

        3- Older Sister in Rooftop Prince- argh that woman! Letting her little sister alone in the back of the truck is just despicable!

        4- Jun Pyo’s mother in Boys over flowers- That mother made his son’s life miserable!! Can’t stand her or forgive her!!

        5- Shin Min Ah’s mother in A love to kill- That woman sold her daughter for money and her fiance ended in coma with a broken heart cuz of her. Can’t forgive her either!

        6- Sister in 49 days- This woman and her fiance made a plan to leave her sister without money. She almost killed her too! I don’t want a sister like that ever!

        This is my villian list so far! 😀

        • Yes, this is almost a carbon copy of my villain list too.

          (1) Prince (King’s uncle) of Faith. I hate him more that Jun Pyo’s mom and I couldn’t stand her.

          (2) Jun Pyo’s mother – She was completely evil, knowing that her son loved Jan Di and she was actually good for him too. To keep her super rich son from true love, that he may not otherwise be able to find is unforgivable.

          (3) Han Jae Hee – Kang Ma Ru absolutely adored this woman to his utter destruction and she betrayed his love and his trust over and over again. She is also turning into a real “B” in the business world too (ala Alexis Carringon/Dynasty….remember her). She will do anything to not be poor again, even sacrificing the one she loved the most.

          (4) Crown Princess/Sister in Rooftop Prince – both her characters in the past and present were selfish little brats only wanting to live the good life, but she did manage to show a human side when she reunited with her real mother. At least there was an explanation for her having become such and evil person in the modern days. She grew up wanting to escape the poor background of her father and stepmother/aunt.

          (5) Musuem Director in My Princess – she’s evil and wants control of the Daehan Group. This the company that owns the museum she’s the director of. Also her father is the long-time personal secretary of the Chairman of the Daehan Group. She schemes to marry his grandson and tries to do everything to keep him from the long lost princess of the Imperial family of Korea.

          This concludes my villain list for the time being. I’ll have to watch Midas. I can’t believe someone would be that evil and cruel to a cancer patient.

          • I wanted to slap that woman till kindom come! Midas is excellent, if you like family feuds, lawyers and financial themes you’re gonna love it. Is really intense but what I liked about it is the human drama behind all that. No Min Woo, the cancer patient did an amazing job with his character, he is adorable, sings beautifully and you will fall for him hard. 🙂

  4. I finally got time to see Rooftop Prince and boy I ROFLMAO like a maniac when they came to her apartment! OMG!! I almost busted a gut!! I’m already on episode 10 cuz I just couldn’t stop watching!! My hubbie was out the whole day, my girls were studying so I watched to my heart content! Lol!!Yochun is soo cute and adorable in it! Another part that I LMAO was when the three amigos were doing the ceremony in honor of the mother of one of them who passed away. OMG those three were soo funny I just couldn’t stop laughing!! 😀

    • Yeah, watching them come to the modern age was hilarious. I especially think the Crown Prince (Micky) plays this part so well, because he is still acts So regal even though he doesn’t know a thing about the modern age. He’s so straight-laced and upright, while the others just collapse into “helplessness” until they get a handle on things. It was very, very funny. I won’t spoil it for you, but you’ll love the last episode.

      I have watched the entire series and I truly enjoyed it! Wasn’t expecting all the twists and turns with the family dynamics……..WOW! I still laugh at episode 4 where the guys help to “market” the strawberry sale! Seeing the Crown Prince practice his dance steps by himself (all dignified) and then turn into a crazy dancing panda just cracks me up……especially when he passes SLAP out from exhaustion, but refuses to reveal himself to Park Ha…..LMBO

  5. I’m starting to watch “To the Beautiful You” with Min Ho from SHINee. You know these dramas with women pretending to be men/boys. Why they never address the obvious “telltale” sign of being a girl. It’s like that never happens in the dramas. Go figure.

    • Aww you gonna love it!! 😀 Min Ho is tough on her at the beginning cuz he’s going thru difficult times on his life but after a while he accepts her and then he becomes the sweetest cuttie pie you can imagine! His competition for the love of the girl makes me laugh so much! I like him too! This drama is similar to You’re beautiful with Sukkie, I love that drama and it got a happy ending. 😀

    I’m soo excited with Faith!! The romance and the political parts are getting hotter!! I like the way the’re developing Choi Young and Eun Soo’s relationship. They’re taking it slow but moving foward steadily. They’re already in the touching phase and it’s well done, not in the usual way, although if you have seeing other Lee Min Ho’s dramas, you know he has a particular style to do the “loving” and you’ll recognize the steps. Lol!! I’m loving their conversations, fights and stares. Now they’re partners, helping one another but at the end of episode 14, Eun Soo gets sick so we’ll see how Choi Young takes that curve ball! The King and queen are having their “loving” too and is great. The king just craked me up cuz he’s like a kid with his first love! Lol!! So sweet! The political part is getting intense with the bad guy killing, manipulating and skeeming to his evil heart’s content but there’s another heir to the throne that is doing some skeeming too. Faith continues to be my #1 drama this season, Nice Guy is my #2, To the Beautiful you is my #3, Midas is my #4 and Arang and the Magistrate is my #5 cuz is too slow and some times boring to no end!

      I’m only watching two dramas….”Faith” and “Nice Guy” right now. Don’t know which one I’ll pick up next. (SMILES)

      Yeah, I’m loving Faith right now the most as well. Prince Duk-Heong who is the king’s uncle is a cunning and really, really low down schemer. He’s just as DIRTY but he hides behind that pretty face….and he IS pretty. He is just as evil as Gi Cheol and as ambitious to gain the throne. He’s also just as intrigued with the High Doctor as Gi Cheol, but I think his ego will get in the way of his goals. He’s gonna get caught up in trying to compete with Choi Young for the Eun Soo’s affections. I see it coming. (SMILES) Gi Cheol ultimately will just see her as a means to an end, I think. (SMILES)

      I think it is sweet how they are developing the king and queen’s love for each other. I like how they are peeling back each “layer” bit by bit as the two characters reveal their feelings to each other.

      Nice Guy is “killing” me because the subbers are slower on this one. It has the potential to be fast paced as well. I’m ready for a new episode. (SMILES)

        Yep I think this Prince is gonna be meddling between Choi Young and Eun Soo for some time. He seems cunning and full of surprises! To get venom in the pages was a low blow! Choi Young will do anything for Eun Soo so you know the Prince has the upper hand! I hate him already!! I can’t wait for the next episode to see how Choi Young saves her, that man will be out of his mind so Prince beware cuz the fight is ON!! >.<

I thought the video was a bit R rated cuz of the b@@b grabbing! LMAO!! Song Jeong Ki is surprising me so much, first cuz he seems to be so sweet with that wonderful smile of his, he’s such a cuttie pie but now I see he has some power in him!! In Nice Guy he’s showing some amazing acting skills. I’m loving this drama! Regarding our Baby Boo, well, he knows that at this time of the game we’re missing him A LOT so he’s telling us, hey, try to spent your time looking around what Korean entertainment have to offer so time goes faster for you and before you know it, I will be back to rock your world again! That’s what I’m doing cuz otherwise I’ll be desperate, feeling blue and I’m sure he don’t want me to feel like that! I know Rain wants us to be happy, to smile often and be positive. 😀

            • Hahahaha!! I know. Song Joong Ki is one of those “surprise” little devils. He REALLY looks Sooo “innocent” with his little baby face, but he’s got Skills! I will definitely keep my eye on him. You’re right he’s good actor too. That’s what really gets me, ultimately its the acting. You can be good looking all day long, but if your acting sucks, who cares right?

              Song had great comedic timing in his portrayal of Gu YongHa in Sungkyunkwan Scandal. I can see him transitioning to U.S. romantic comedies as well. He’s really good and to think he says he starting acting just by a fluke. He just happened to go on an audition that he didn’t expect anything to come of and wouldn’t you know, he got the part. The rest as they say is history.

      OK another question I have and if I can’t ask maybe someone can send me an email. I find that I am interested in your drama suggestions but on the site I mostly watch, I do not find these including this one above so can you tell me which site you are using, I am also interested in “The Frozen Flower” . Really appreciate it..
      I just finished watching all the episodes available for “Innocent Man” and I am intrigued and its keeping me watching to see where the storyline goes.

      • @tonicny, I think we all use different sites to watch these dramas. I am watching “Faith The Great Doctor” and “The Innocent Man” on viki.com. I have also watched dramas on dramafever.com in the past.

        “The Frozen Flower” is actually on YT right now and you can watch it in 1 hour segments. That’s if they don’t take it down, which can happen unexpectedly at any time. (SMILES)

        “Curse of Golden Flower” I watched on viki.com. The movie above “5 Senses of Eros” I have to go in search of myself. I just happened upon that kissing scene while surfing YT for Song Joong Ki interviews. Hope this helps. (SMILES)

        Oh…btw….the “boy” can kiss. He and Lee Min Ho…..woo, woooo!!!

          I just finished watching “The Frozen Flower” and I liked it very much. The scenery and costumes were beautiful, all the actors were exceptionally good, did not like the ending.

    I finally watched The innocent man/Good guy!! Aghhh is soo good!! But I know this triangle is not going to end well!! Since I know the writer of this drama is the same of ALTK I can see the similarities and there are a lot! First of all, the tango music! I love it! Then, the sick sibbling, the crazy/funny friend, the poverty, even the place were Kang Ma Ru lives looks like the place were Bokku lived! Lol! Also, the hate/love relationship, the company sells skin products too and the young woman has troubles with her father as did the tall guy in ALTK. But I must say that I’m in love with Kang Ma Ru, his gentle but strong personality got me. He’s doing a good job. The noona is really good too and I like the strong young woman. She’s wild! 😀

      I told you, you would get hooked right away. You’re right there are a lot of similarities to ALTK (miss BokGu….*sniffle, sniffle*). This writer really knows how to build suspense and keep you hooked. Honestly, I don’t see it ending well either. He’s determined to take her down and she’s determined for that not to happen and at the same time they still have a sick love for each other. Hey, and I’m gonna keep my eye on Mr. Smooth Lawyer too.         That’s true, I’m hooked! Kekeke That noona it’s bad!! She’s willing to destroy anybody who crosses her path to fortune, even Kang Ma Ru. I just wanna know who Kang Ma Ru will choose, is he gonna fall in love with the young woman or is he gonna be forever in love with the noona? I think he’s gonna fall for the young woman. They have so much in common! The noona is gonna go crazy jelous, I mean, she’s already crazy jelous! I’m curious, did they had a full relationship or it was a platonic one cuz if it was a full one, that noona will go nuts when she see him kissing or whatever with the young woman! Specially when we know she’s not getting any “action” cuz her old husband is sick and in a weelchair! It’s gonna be interesting to watch. I was impressed cuz the first episode we got some good smooching! Aghhh I love Kang Ma Ru! He’s soo darn sexy!! I like his outfits so far, tight jeans, boots, black shirts and everything fits beautifully!! I’m drooling in each episode! Lol!! The smooth lawyer is hot too, I like! Aww I’m missing Rain too!! 😦 There were some talking about Rain being in a drama as soon as he gets out of the military. We’ll see if he gets to do it. That will be awesome! He’s gonna be just riped to be a sexy, hot, leading man!! 😀

        • I think he’ll fall for the young executive girl too in the end. They have both had bad experiences at the hands of people they loved. I love Song Joong Ki as Kang Ma Ru. His whole look and everything. Boy, it seems with each new drama I watch I get a new Asian male crush. He is fast becoming #4. (SMILES) Yes, I think he and his first love did have a full on sexual relationship, at least I believe that’s what they alluded to. So yes, it will drive her nuts to see him with the step daughter she hates.

          For me it all about he acting. He’s good, good actor. He was also one of the soldiers in A Frozen Flower too.

          • Yep I saw him in the sword dance! In fact, there’re are a few young actors in that dance I’ve seeing in dramas. No Min Woo also was in Frozen Flower. Arghh that man is georgeous!! He’s in Midas but I fell in love with him in My girlfriend is a Gumiho. He even sings his song in that drama and he’s a great musician who plays drums, piano and guitar. Oh man, I love korean actors!! 😀

      i love that drama esp min Ho very good actor but all i watching is his stunning in that movies u know what in my mind how i wish RAIN at lease give such a tase , like this genre like this FAITH movies u know what i mean i have never see not once of Rain K-Drama like this i imagine how it excited to see him in CULTURE style look and fancy though ekekkeek he good fighter as well why not put him in BOOK UH????????

        Yes I’m talking about Lee Min Ho in the drama “Faith The Great Doctor.” He’s one of my favorites after Bi. I really love this drama right now it’s so exciting. I know what you mean. I think it would great to see Bi do a period drama in the traditional Korean regalia. I think it would be awesome to see him wrapped up in his culture like that.

        I would also love for him to bring Raizo back as well, but we can only keep hoping for that one to happen. (SMILES)

  11. OMG Faith is driving me nuts!! But in a good way cuz now we’re getting to the romance part and is getting hot and adorable!! Choi Young and the doctor are getting close, I mean, as close they can be in Goryeo’s times! Lol!! People around them are starting to notice that there’s something going on but Choi Young keeps them guessing. I like the way Eun Soo is destroying little by little the huge wall that separates her from Choi Young. I’m looking foward to watch how they get together and how their relationship unfolds. That goes to the king and queen too. I’m really excited cuz they’re showing some caring for each other. I can’t wait to see the next episode!! 😀

      It is isn’t it!!! Choi Young and the High Doctor are so starting to like each other or rather Choi Young is starting to let the doctor in. She is trying to be tough but it’s just a facade, she’s really scared and vulnerable deep down and she needs him. Her needing him is going to make her fall in love with him. Also, I think the queen has always loved the king. I think in one of the “memory scenes” she met the king prior to becoming his queen. She had her face covered and he didn’t know it was her, so he was making all these comments about not liking the Princess of Yuan. You could see his remarks “crushed” her feelings. So fast forward to them being married, she was still angry at him for a while, but it’s obvious she still loved him. I think she’s gonna show him more and more little by little that she actually loves him. I can’t wait for the next one either! The subbers are really fast on this drama. Thank you subbers for your hard work!! Love it!…………..(SMILES)

        yea i saw i see that part too it so funny our the prince did recognized it was the girl he love coz she did cover her face of it but i starting to like how min ho so handsome in that drama and how he always protected her he want to be or the girl start fall in love with him u know what part to most it catch my eye my attention when she push the sword into lee min ho that she tough he was die that expression melting showing she start to have feeling on him ahahah i just so curious what it like toward this ending i hope they get together i just love LMH acting in here it one best one i see so far as in Culter actor he is THE BEST ONE no doubt

      I think the funniest thing in these latest eps are Choi Young’s men. They are in total disbelief that he might actually be interested in a woman again. Their reactions to the romance are really cute.

          Yes they are soo funny!! I LMAO with the Wuldachi men cuz they just can’t believe that their fierce leader is falling in love with this woman from another world. Lady Choi is soo funny too! I enjoy her conversations with Choi Young cuz he always ends up with a smack from her!! Lollll!! It all adds to the enchanting mix. I screamed in joy when Choi Young took out his bethroded red band from his sword! He just can’t keep it there when he can’t remember the woman’s face! He’s falling hard for Eun Soo but he couldn’t accept it yet. Now he’s ready to move on. I think Eun Soo falled in love with him after he saved her from that band who wanted to kidnapp her at the beginning but she’s afraid of his world and from the bad guy. She’s trying to protect Choi Young as best as she can. I like when they fight cuz Choi Young can’t believe she has the guts to go over his command. I’m so in love with this drama! 😀

            Lady Choi, cracks me up too. She will smack him in a minute won’t she? This fierce warrior, who can cut down any man within seconds, getting smacked by his “aunt.” So funny! I love that dynamic between them.

        Good mercy! I just finished the movie. First of all it was visually stunning and I’m not surprised coming from the same filmmakers who filmed Hero (one of my favorites). You know, nobody can make graphic brutality and blood letting look so pretty like Asian filmmakers. (SMILES)

        From a writing perspective it was awesome. Plot twists left and right at the end. Damn that king! he was a bad mofo until the absolute end and she Still couldn’t get rid of him.

        I had a feeling something was going to happen with little brother prince #3 but didn’t see it coming that he would kill prince #1. Prince #1 was just a basket case all the way around. Chow Yun Fat played that king to perfection, because you hated him from the beginning until the ending. I don’t see how anybody lived long enough TO rule in ancient civilizations with all the plotting and scheming and poisoning going on.

        I loved the movie though nothing like good acting and writing. (SMILES)

        • yes, yes….Curse of the Golden Flower is “sumthin’ else”. Talk about putting the D in dysfunctional family–ooh wee! Emperor Ping was soooo ruthless and cunning. Empress Phoenix had some lowdown behavior too. The colors and textures in the costumes were absolutely gorgeous, along with the opulent fixtures in the palace. Chow Yun Fat always looks magnificent in historical/period films. I’m watching the 11th episode of Faith now and ready to start episode 12 of Rooftop Prince……HULU Plus + Wii=Big screen Korean dramas!

Anyway, viki’s web site serves me well, especially on my computer monitor at work (it’s rather wide) so when I go full screen it’s cool. At home my computer monitor is crisper, so when I go full screen I get the full effect of the drama’s filmed in HD. So there….hmphf!………….(SMILES)

    • The actors in the movie are PHENOMENAL. They made you believe that ****, all of it. Chow Yun Fat was just like… wow. Tang China was not the place to be when it came to living long, especially in the palace.

      By the way, Terri, Empress Phoenix in this movie was my vision for my Grace character’s costume (in Haven) outside the Hyatt Regency Hotel. All golden and stuff, at a black and white masquerade ball. 🙂

  14. Well, THIS Cloud is still watching “Faith The Great Doctor” and “The Innocent Man aka Nice Guy” (whenever they post a new episode).

    After our discussion of “A Frozen Flower” yesterday, I decided to start re-watching it. I watched the first hour at work……BIG mistake. I should say I Tried to watch the first hour at work. I think forgot just how “heavy duty” those love scenes are…..(*still fanning myself*).

    I will be adding “Curse of the Golden Flower” and “Portrait of Beauty” to my list as well, per yesterday’s discussion.

    As far as American TV, my list hasn’t changed too much from before. However, I am keying in a little more to what’s going on in the world. The Middle East….good gravy!! China……good gravy!! Mitt Romney…..good gravy…..with a side order of WTH?!!!

      • You know??…..I mean Mitt really…..just tell half of America (and subsequently the world) you only give a damn about…..well….HALF of America. Take politics out of it altogether, he is as you say culturally ignorant. I have said that people who look like me, would be a non-factor in his bubble of a world on a day-to-day basis. Mitt would not even blink in my direction in his daily life and I feel that each time I hear him/see him speak. His mannerisms give that off. How can you want to be president when you can’t even be comfortable around half of the people you would be elected to govern? So how can I/could I vote for someone who I know in his hearts of hearts would not legislate anything that would be beneficial to me or mine. He has said in so many words “I” don’t matter and you know what, I believe him.
