As some of you may know, BbaekGa (a.k.a. Sunghyun Paek, Baek Sunghyun)  is an accomplished photographer in addition to being a well-known rapper (member of group Koyote, 2005 Korean Grammy Artist of the Year) and stylist.

After beating the dangerous brain tumor that got him discharged from the Army, he had fallen back on his photography skills in 2010 in Korea and in the States, and was doing a magnificent job of it even before Koyote’s August 2011 comeback.

» [CFs] Rain’s newest Nikon D3100 and D7000 spots.

Recently, Leica Camera released a terrific clip showcasing BbaekGa and what makes his photography tick. They’re also featuring BbaekGa on the home page of their website. An interesting tidbit revealed by this is that, apparently, he was involved in Rain’s huge MCM photo shoot back in 2011. Amazing.

Congratulations on your success and prosperity, BbaekGa. And thanks for tweeting your new Leica clip!

As we’ve said, you have always been more than just “Rain’s friend.”

  1. Very nice. I can relate. My dad was a photographer, not by profession, but by passion. Nikon and Canon were just a few of the cameras strewn about the house during my growing up years. He had one local billboard photo to his credit many years ago.

I really enjoyed this glimpse into Rain’s best friend’s life. Stirs up happy memories. Thanks for sharing. (SMILES)

    • I enjoyed it too, BiA. I think, back when he was in NYC doing a Fall/Winter spread for a major shoe designer, was when I realized BbaekGa had to be pretty good at what he was doing.

      Very cool about your dad!
