The Yellow Ribbon for Rain Brigade is gathering no moss! It’s rolling along on its merry way like a stone skipping along the surface of a pond with nary a ripple. And the stronger it grows, the more fans that hop on board, the stronger the foundation supporting world star JiHoon grows. So please, keep spreading the word so that the Brigade can fulfill its purpose and keep the ground under Rain’s feet solid. Thanks for showing how very much he is loved.
You can see JiHoon’s first letter to his Clouds and fans HERE, in our previous post. ♥
There are two options for sending snail-mail to JiHoon presently. For information on where to send handwritten cards and letters to him in the military, please see our previous posts HERE (military) and HERE (military, official site notice). For cards, letters, and gifts, do see our post HERE (office admin).

SONG OF THE WEEK: “I” (난/Nan), first released on Rain’s 3rd album Vol.3 It’s Raining (2004) and later on his 4th album Vol.4 Rain’s World Repackaged (2006). This song has given him more stage mileage than any other, in my humble opinion, with all that heartache and the go-to-church Sunday morning organ and piano playing in it. Have mercy. 🙂

I’m loving the recent commentary by Tiger JK regarding racism. I only know a little about Tiger JK but I do know that he is married to Blasian American Yoon Mi Rae/Tasha Reid. IMO It’s about to “get real” for these K-Pop artists if they want to continue to spread K-Pop around the globe. I agree with Tiger JK, these young artists and young Koreans in general are going to have to educate themselves seriously now. The world is now focusing on Asia (Korea specifically) and they can no longer remain “isolated” in their thinking on matters of race and social improprieties with respect to race. They need to do this not because they have to necessarily but because it’s the right thing to do, as Tiger JK suggests. Especially, if the Hallyu wave wants to continue to spread worldwide.

Kudos to Tiger JK!

Shane and Kane both are just… yum. And very capable like daddy. I cannot imagine the pressure of having Sho-sama as your dad, lawd. And the pressure apparently got to Kane at one point because they had a falling out and disagreement over his career choice… but I do believe father and son are happy and reconciled now and I’m glad for them. Life is short.

Love the picts!! Sooo sexy!! Yum!! Nan is one of my fave songs of Rain. Is beautiful and the way he performed that song is just mesmerizing. I couldn’t take my eyes off Rain the first time I saw him performing Nan and it was just a video!! I can’t begin to imagine how it would be to see him live, all wet, half naked singing that song with that sexy voice of his!! I may need oxygen and a nitro pill to survive!! Lol!!!! 🙂

I’ll sneak some of my dad’s nitro and help you out, okay? Croaking while you’re in the middle of watching Rain is a no-no! Before or after the show is acceptable, though LOL!

Stephe, I am really laughing at your comment about Nan—“go-to-church Sunday morning organ and piano playing in it”!
I thought I was the only one who felt that way—-especially when I hear the “live” version at the end…………and the church said “amen”!
His live concert performances are a great showcase for his musicians/band and background singers. Their beautifully blended voices and skilled musicianship provide a wonderful canvas for Rain to paint his lyrical stylings on.

LOL @MyPraiseATL You know you right.
The first time I noticed that go-to-church Sunday morning organ and piano bidnez in that song, I almost got to shoutin’. LOL Just awesome. The R&B side of him is pretty well known, and him hiring a black voice teacher back in the day too, but he’s got some extra coffee stirred up in his cream somewhere if you ask me. kekeke
