We are praying and praying hard for everyone on the Korean peninsula right now, what with the continued rainfall and the resulting devastation there. Koreans are keeping their chins up, though, and going about their lives like troopers, and we say thumbs up to that. Fighting!
Rain is staying extremely busy, which he has to do because he has a gazillion irons in the fire this month. The Man has a lot to get done, so if he doesn’t tweet regularly and seems to drop out of sight, give him a break. He’s working like a dog! Capiche?

OH……Terri, hubbie and I JUST saw Rise Of The Planet of the Apes…..in a word. A-W-E-S-O-M-E!! This version……Loved It!! If anybody loves the Planet of the Apes franchise go see this movie, you won’t be disappointed. (IMHO) SMILES

This weekend I went to see Justin Timberlake’s new movie, Friends with benefits and it was awesome but I LMAO when he started singing and dancing Jump by Kriss Kross. I thought, Hummm, what a coincidence that Rain started to use that song in his concerts and then appears out of the blue in that movie with Justin saying that the song was awesome? Who’s watching who? Or Is that song in groove again?

Justin Timberlake’s star became a little dimmer in my book during the Superbowl scandal with Janet. He let his friend take the “brunt” of the heat and never came to her defense, even a little bit (mum was the word). I lost some respect for him. Whether you believe the “incident” was planned or a true accident, I say stand by your friend man and if the situation calls for it “take it like a man.”

I swear it!! LOL!! I won’t give spoilers cuz is a good comedy/ romantic movie, one of those we’ll want to see Rain doing but I think he won’t cuz they are too expllicit for his Korean fans and it’s not a serious movie anyway. It’s just an entertaining movie of “what if scenario”. Regarding Justin and Janet’s situation, well, it wasn’t right cuz it was a bad moment for Janet. I don’t think it was on purpose cuz it was a sports show with children present and she knew it. To me it was an accident, Justin’s reaction was total shock and he was younger at
the time so he probably didn’t know how to handle it. Maybe he thought to let Janet do it cuz she was an experienced star who will know how to get out of a bad situation. I am not taking sides with Justin, I am only saying that it was a situation that he couldn’t handle right due to his age. Of course, I could be wrong.

I won’t make a big deal out of it, but I will say this then I’m done. Justin was Well Over the age of 21. I say if you’re old enough to drink, have sex and make millions of dollars……you’re old enough to take the heat or get your @ss out of the kitchen.

Just a little something that I would like to bring to into view cloud family: Why is most of Jihoon’s stuff from youtube thats in english taken OFF! while other kpop groups stuff is growing at an alarming rate!! WTF! is happening here? Does Rain have someone in his camp sabotaging him? I mean really whats up?

That’s true, there are songs from Rain that I still don’t know the english translation but I think that all Mblaq’s songs are already translated to english. That’s so sad. Rain’s songs are beautiful, love the beat but is frustrating when you don’t know the meaning of them.

Mari I wasn’t just talking about songs, I mean interviews, shows he’s been on also they just are not there anymore or certaintly not with English subs like they were at one time. Or their just gone .While other Kpop artist have there stuff with English subs.

Hmmm, that’s something to seriously think about. I must admit I have not always paid attention to the other K-Pop artists with the same amount of gusto as I have Bi, but I do agree that when I first started my journey in looking for Bi “stuff” (videos, kdramas, etc.) there was more English subbed things to choose from, but now not so much. One could conclude that someone is very much trying to sabotage Bi’s efforts to cross over to the English speaking market. If I were a saboteur what would I do? Well, after witnessing his growing popularity in English speaking markets, I would systematically have Any products of his that are English subbed taken down or have them mysteriously disappear. I would also keep his music off of Itunes (can’t have English speakers readily getting to his music). I would also make it harder to get his K-dramas on DVD, I would make it difficult for English speaking fans to get tickets to his concerts. All of the things you see happening are, I believe, happening for a reason.
Think about it. Your country’s biggest “CASH cow” Icon is about to go into the military and be out of commission for two years. Also, prior to his leaving, he has expressed on more than one occasion that he would like to come to the U.S. after his tour of duty is over. If he were to come here and make his mark on the U.S. market like We Know he can, that means BIG BANK for U.S. studios and music markets. Where would that leave Korea in the immediate? Shedding tears that their biggest “export” is making others rich in another country and market. SO how do you keep demand down for your biggest Icon in Western (English speaking) markets? You make it DAMNED DIFFICULT for his GROWING Western fan base to get at his “wares.” The thought process being that Westerners are damned impatient people and have attention spans like a finger snap. Your hope is make him professionally unavailable for new Western fans Right Now so when he goes away, they will forget him and we get to keep him in the market he became famous and rich in. Thereby, WE keep that money in Korea. Hell, someone may even try to convince HIM that he is no longer wanted in the English speaking markets and his efforts wouldn’t be noticed or appreciated, when that is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE!
It’s subtle, because these things are happening gradually, but it has the potential to be quite effective, except for one thing. We U.S. Clouds are no longer Ji-Hoon “virgins.” For most of us, Ninja Assassin popped the proverbial Ji-Hoon ch__ry and there is no going back. We Know who he is, we have experienced his talents and Lord knows we have seen his out of this world beauty. We have accepted all that he is and isn’t. There is no way to un-ring this bell. Question is, how do you stop this type of sabotage?, if that is indeed what it is, because I would hate to think that Professional People are this trifling when it comes to their Biggest Icon’s business affairs.

But seriously is like you said Bia, there are too much “obstacles” to get Rain’s merchandise, albums, videos, concert tickets, etc. so you starts to think, that there is a conspiracy. There are to many coincidences and I don’t believe in coincidences. I think that there’s something going on. Probably someone that don’t want Rain to make money or get a future in the USA market.

I don’t know about a rain code? But I do know what I’m seeing , It’s very hard to promote someone into the English speaking community without some kind of English to back it up. Please don’t just go on my words, clouds check it out for yourselfs. Jihoon is working so hard to make it and has said on numerous occasions that his planes were to come to the USA even during and after ninja assassin, he has also said he wanted to marry on the USA. But now a lot of those interviews are missing? Yes we cannot control anyone’s YouTube account but its very strange how so many of Rain’s stuff is gone? Issues with tickets and other things. I’m sorry we have to stand by Rain/Jihoon even harder now.

I just keep learning more and more about the pull of K-Pop on the rest of the world. I just learned about this lady today and watched her on an episode of Star King. Her name is Natalie White aka Pumashock. She has also done a Korean CF for Taster’s Choice as well. Two words…….Blown Away…..on a lot of levels! The world is getting smaller and smaller ain’t it? On a side note, I was looking to purchase The Fugitive online from KBSWorldi (now Mvibo). However I noticed that they only have the EOR episodes that don’t come in the nicer box sets. Anyone know if they are going to have that for sale? I’ll purchase that one if I can’t find it anywhere else but I would prefer the pretty box set.

That is so far an unknown. I have send in a request via their Contact Us function on the website, asking for a nice, boxed set. Who knows? If everyone who is reading this blog (or who follows us on Twitter) from The U.S. and Canada would request a nice, boxed set be made available for our region, maybe we’d actually get them? I guess it can’t hurt to ask, huh?
FYI, I was able to get a nice boxed set for Let’s Go to School, Sangdoo, from KBSWorldi (now Mvibo) last year, but not A Love to Kill or Full House. For ALTK and FH I had to get the EOR versions. Darn it.

the thing is, for those who get Comcast/Xfinity, on the demand lineup is a Kpop channel. well, i was searching to see what was listed…actually i was looking to see if maybe Rain or MBLAQ had been added, but instead there was “Brothers and Me”…and the sad part is that today Aug.2nd is the last day to watch. so for those of you who may have this service this is just some info. for you. i might add, it’s a thrill to see and hear Rain beaming into my private space, kekekekeke
