(While we were working on a project together the other day, Jim absentmindedly hit the first four of “With You” from Cyborg, and much to his astonishment I named that tune and finished it up. He couldn’t believe it. LOL!)
You know your 72-year-old mama is a Cloud in the Closet when: After five minutes of driving, you can no longer stand the radio, reach for any Rain album, and declare, “Argh—I can’t take it! I want some Rain!” And she responds from the passenger seat, “I want some Rain too! Turn that other crap OFF!” And then looks sheepish.

Well ladies what I’m concerned now is with the nuclear plant. those reactors are melting. this is even worse than a tsunami or earthquake for me. the consequences of nuclear disasters takes generations to generations to disappear. Keep praying for them.

Gosh, I can’t begin to imagine the sorrow and pain of japanese people right now. The way those waves went trough their houses, their cars and cities was horrible. I saw those images in awe coz I just couldn’t believe it. I can only pray that those families that lost everything can recuperate somehow of this tragedy.

Sending out my thoughts to all the Japanese people and Japanese Clouds affected in this crazy circumstance. It sure did seem like watching a movie when I saw the devastation there. I hope we hear from the Clouds soon!

My prayers and condolences go out to our Japan sisters and their families. Watching it on t.v. was unreal seeing the cars and houses swept away as if they were toys. Then it hits you that peoples lives and livleyhoods are being swept away, and the significance of what you just wathced becomes that much greater.

I watched Speed Racer today on TNT. I was just fliping through the channels and saw Speed Racer and I was like YAY! and then click. It was nice seeing Jihoon on American airwaves.

I don’t want to take away from the topic of the Japan earthquake but to veer off topic briefly. This piece of trivia is SOOOO random on my part it’s not funny….BUT, I’m watching the movie “The Golden Child” starring Eddie Murphy just now. After the movie, I’m wondering….Hmmm,what happened to the little boy who played the “golden” child? HA….well, slap me silly, turns out the little “boy” was in actuality a little girl named Jasmine. In the movie credits her name is listed as J.L. Reate. Wow, I am so behind on movie trivia it’s not funny. Sometimes I get in those where are they now moods, when I watch old movies from the 80s and then I go in search of. You never know what you may come up with.
Boy I tell ya, Rain and his Koreaness has really sent my “radar” into overdrive for all things Asian right about now.

I was watching the news on this Friday morning and I just couldn’t believe it. It’s crazy that Bialamode mentioned something about “Deep Impact” because at times it felt like wathcing a movie. The devastion is just unreal. My prayers are with Japan along with our Cloud sisters and their families.

yeah their was a HOLLOYWOOD movie of this and they are comapre the real life happen now to the movies og gosh i could belive it not to mention that PWERFUL Earthquake hit Japan so tragic but even Hollywood acess shock my the new sending their wish and massage and some that was have a plan to goes for their vaction or filming ect.., were canclled too one JAPAN Airpart sunk down along mud hoes everythinf just goes with that big wave. this is a very bad tsunami after 8.9 Japan quake

I am watching the news about the Japan earthquake/tsunami right now and the POWER of nature just astounds me. To think an underwater earthquake in Japan has sent waves All The Way to the U.S. Totally mind blowing. I used to think the movie “Deep Impact” was just entertainment…..art was just imitating life and a Very, Very REAL possibility.
Just felt the need to share my thoughts in this moment.

Japan is in my prayers as well as all Clouds affected by the earthquake and tsunami. Is hard to see the results of this disaster coz there is not much we can do but pray. I hope our fellow Clouds are safe with their families and loved ones. God pkease be merciful with them.

The reports and footage of the Sendai quake/tsunami are simply devastating. I just can’t believe it.
All I can do is send out hopeful emails and pray for everyone affected, including our Cloud sisters and their families. OMG. OMG…

It caused a four-metre tsunami in the port city of Kamishi and its tremors shook buildings in the capital Tokyo, over 300 kilometres away.this was yester 9.8 earthquake
i was wondering is everody now i could belive this happen to japan i hoping their family and peoples their safe and still prayer for them the tokoyo bulilding are fire and peoples are trap in their gosh this just tribble happen

I’ve been trying to leave messages for JiHoon but the site won’t let me? it keeps going to the sign up for 8th cloud. So my question is do I have to wait til its over or sign up to leave JiHoon messages now? I have to say I normally would not have a problem with joining since ss# are not needed, but because of what I went through from another site which you ladies know about, I’m very cautious now, more like nervous, please I’m sure you understand. I just don’t want to be blocked out again and/or have my computer crash again or who knows what? And I will say again this has NOTHING TO DO WITH CLOUDUSA!! of what happen to me!!! this happen because of a DIFFERENT SITE!!! HELP? (confused and nervous) I love my JUNG JIHOON/RAIN and no matter what I will always continue to support him in any and all ways possible. (not trying to be a drama queen). Just realistic.

I’m not sure why you’re having trouble leaving messages for Ji-Hoon on The Cloud. You do not have to be a member of the 8th Cloud to be a user of the fan club’s website. And I’m not having trouble with the site myself, so I don’t get it.
FYI, the pop-up that appears when you first open the webpage is just a pop-up message, reminding people that the membership drive is going on. It doesn’t do anything. If you just close the pop-up message, the website should look like it normally does. Like I said, I’m a little confused, because I don’ t seem to be having any problem with it. Is anyone else?
As far as The Cloud is concerned, Lotus, let me just say something in its defense:
There’s always drama whenever a celebrity is involved. ALWAYS. That is the name of the game when it comes to dealing with a large group of fans. However, let me reassure you that every communication Stephe and I have had with our contacts in Korea (some of them very involved in The Cloud) has been extremely professional and level-headed. To us it appears that most of the “issues” with The Cloud comes from Rain’s “fans,” themselves.
As for whether to join up or not. That’s up to you. But I know how I feel myself. Whether I get any “benefit” out of The Cloud is NOT the point. That is NOT why I’m joining Rain’s “official” fan club. I’m joining Rain’s “official” fan club, because I want to support Rain to the best of my ability.
The Cloud is Rain’s “official” fan club in Korea. One of the best ways to support him is to join his “official” fan club, so that I will be counted in his “official” numbers. Whenever industry professionals look at a star, they look to their “official” fan clubs to see how many people are members. That is one of the data sets used to determine how “popular” and “starworthy” a celebrity is. So, basically, the more people that join Rain’s “official” fan club and the more people that buy his “official” merchandise, the better it is for him.
Just wanted you all to know how I feel. I think Stephe likely feels the same way.
And like I said, we’ve just never encountered this “drama” with The Cloud that everyone seems to be worried about.

Woo, Hoo, it took some time and almost more concentration than I had left at 2:00 am, but I have officially joined the 8th Cloud Membership thanks to the amazingly detailed and accurate instructions provided here, thank you, thank you, thank you! I am sure I could not have done it without your help…you guys are awesome! I hope RAIN will have the opportunity to recognize the significance of your involvement in caressing him with “Clouds”…just writing that made me tingle all over! How do you guys keep posting hot pictures of Rain!!! How ever you are doing it keep doing it.
Since this is an open thread I have a question about the Fugitive. I was recently rewatching some of the Fugitive. Can someone tell me did they ever reveal who and why Kevin was killed? I know Rain was cleared of all charges but did they ever say who and why Kevin was killed.

I do believe, if I’m remembering right, that the horrific Chairman and his viperous lady sidekick MiJin had Kevin killed in order to frame JiWoo for Kevin’s murder and send him to prison, out of their way. (JiWoo figured out the Chairman had stolen the Chosun gold and killed JinYi’s family, and JiWoo wasn’t going to stop until he exposed that secret and sent THEM to jail). Kai physically did the framing so that he could have JinYi without JiWoo’s interference. Boy, it still pisses me off and makes me want to beat the hell out of all of them, the way they treated JiWoo! LOL
Please jump in, anyone, if I’m off or something. There were a lot more threads leading into that plot, and there was a lot of rewriting done behind the scenes after SonHa’s (the actress who played MiJin) car accident… I’m almost certain things would have turned out differently but for that. 🙂

@Stephe Thanks for replying. I remember Kevin had been killed before Jiwoo took the case with JinYi. I remember this because when JinYi was in the office the first day to see if Jiwoo would take the case. His staff was scanning her stuff that she had left at the front into the computer to check her out. I remember something she had that they had scanned showed a picture of Kevin. Then I think that same episode they showed Jiwoo in his office crying remembering Kevin in the past. Kevin had already been killed. JinYi mentioned Kevin in the last episode when she was giving her speech but they never said who killed him and why. I never understood what his death had to do with the story line. How it fit into why JinYi family was killed for the gold. I do think because of the actress who played MiJin accident the story had to be changed a little.
Do you remember this? Please anyone correct me if I am wrong.

I do believe you’re on track. I thought about it after I replied to you, and I was like, wait, Kevin was dead BEFORE the whole Chosun Gold Fiasco! Wait. And so I went and watched episodes (not that that was hard to do at all with yummy YiWoo in all of them, haha) and was like, Gah, wrong answer, Stephe! LOL
I feel that the plot would have probably turned out the way I said if Sonha hadn’t gotten hurt. I mean, that seems like the logical progression of things. But as it stood, on second look, seems like they decided to let Kevin’s death truly be accidental and to let Kai use that accident to frame JiWoo later for supposed “murder” by throwing all of Kevin’s case money in JiWoo’s accounts. And so yes, in my mind you are correct.
I also think that if the plot had not been rewritten, Kevin’s death might have even been faked and Kevin forced to work with the bad guys. That would have been juicy indeed! And I’ll bet you Kieko was involved with MiJin and the Chairman behind her Yakuza father’s back. There was a phone call between Mijin and the Chairman where Mijin told the old guy, “Kieko is no longer with us.” If Sonha hadn’t gotten hurt, it would have been awesome indeed to see that Kieko herself had a secret alliance too behind JiWoo’s back. The singer who played Kieko suddenly disappeared from the plot, and those pics of her and JiWoo walking down the street were never seen in any scene, remember? And the conflict between her and JiWoo and her daddy was NEVER resolved. That screams “rewrite” for real. Awww, the possibilities! What a show that would have been! 😀
